Start even off an incline so with your elbow up on a bench and really flex your foot to create tension up your entire leg. Hope that helps!! :-)

I'm so thankful that I found your channel! Amazing workouts! Also thank you for not being your typical RU-vid fitness chick with the fake ass posting glute videos all the time. I have a back injury from a car accident. And for a long time all I did was heavy barbell work and now I have to change my entire routine. My focus now is functional training and mobility. This channel is so helpful! Thank you and keep it up!!!!

Tried doing 2 sets of about 12 of these , 12 times Only. My butt ache more than all the squats n pikes i did...8 side planks is so diff u made it look effortless!

I found your channel at random seeking for new workout exercices... Like so much your videos... It shows you know what you're doing and you have fitness experience. No bla bla and going straight to the point. Thanks to you i changed my training routine and makes me realize i don't necessarily need to lift heavy barbells to get a good workout... Some exercices look easy to do but they're quite tricky such as : -Frog reverse hypers -Side balance front to back tap -Side plank leg raise Practice makes perfect...😂 Thanks so much... I wanted to let you know I did this video on 8/17 (yesterday). My bums are SO SORE...in a good way today. These really work every angle of my glutes, and let me tell you they look simple but very challenging. I did every single exercise, 20 reps each. :)

This is awesome thank you!! I strained my upper right hamstring due to overstretching and I'm trying to avoid squats and lunges. My dominant quads needs some balance with some booty gains!

This is extremely helpful; glute exercises are said to be important for rehabbing and preventing IT band syndrome, also known as runner's knee. I have what's probably runner's knee but it's not bad yet.

Yup it's not a follow along but variations. I wouldn't personally even use all as one workout but pick the ones focused on my needs and goals for the training session.

I am so resistant to doing these exercise but I know I need to. Low back pain that seems to be coming from the top of my glutes is stopping me from training at the moment. What is odd is that my super-sized glutes make me the literal "butt" of jokes in my house ( like the wife constantly telling me how unfair it is that I got the great butt ). I am going to have to knuckle down, pick a few of these and start doing them. I remember doing the belly down leg raises years back as a yoga routine exercise when, not surprisingly, I didn't have the back problems.

I have a question, well actually a few, 1. When you are doing the exercise what do you say to yourself, whats the voice in your mind saying to you? 2. Do you get tired and if so what would you do when you are about to give up the rep? Thanks.

I focus on what I feel working and breathing. I run through what muscles should be engaging. And I like intervals because you have to hold to the buzzer. You can't stop at a rep when tired. And I always do one more rep than I listed as long as I can. The more you workout, the more comfortable you get being uncomfortable.

Hi Cori, just wondering how often you can do these per week? My PT mentioned I have underactive glutes which is why I'm getting knee pain so I've been trying to do these everyday but should I work through DOMS or rest a few days in between?

Hi Neetu. I would do glute activation series 4-5 times a week but even on those other days, I would roll and do something to reverse all the hip flexion we do on a daily basis. Not every activation series needs to work till your fatigued.
