clearly explained the concept of function and function block. if we have to make our own function in program along with database then we use function block, a without a database we want something then create simply a function of your program what you want. these will help you out to organize the programming structure in short get rid of messiness which will ease you in troubleshooting specially.

hello thanks foe your great explanation. ı wanna ask a question to you sır.i have 3 plc in my system for example name of them plc1 plc2 and plc3 and they are connected to wincc scada v7.5 . when ı open simatic manager ı can see FB and FC and SFC blocks in my system. ı wanna add more FB and DB for some others necessary .my question is , if for example ı have 100 fc and 50 fb and some other SFC and if ı add 2 fc to my system is it neccesary to downloads all blocks or just ı can select the new fc and download it ? is it okay .
