A very stressful day drilling and hoping to not hit boulders of bedrock! In the end, more than half of the holes hit boulders or bedrock, so the next step, setting the tubes, is going to be that much harder! 😐 Massive Concrete Block Retaining Wall -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4HK40MAtL6g.html The Frost Protected Shallow Water Line Playlist -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fHqK2tsprhE.html The Woodshop Build Playlist: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0lj0BOLzIRo.html Woodshop Build Tool Links: Stabila 35712 Extendable (7 to 12 foot) Plate to Plate Level - amzn.to/3iGdpwP Stabila 30035 Plate Level Case for 7'-12' Plate Level plus 24-Inch, 48-Inch Level - amzn.to/3AETnZQ Woodford Y34-3 Yard Hydrant Freezeless - amzn.to/3AHE5Dr Johnson Level & Tool 116 16 Ounce Plumb Bob - amzn.to/3jKIj6k True Temper 00221400A Wood Wheelbarrow Replacement Handles, 60-Inch - amzn.to/3xLU4Pc Starrett-C33H-12-4R Hardened Combination Square -- amzn.to/2KL3YOu DEWALT Metal Shears Attachment -- amzn.to/3l8aYoq DEWALT 20V MAX XR Compact Reciprocating Saw -- amzn.to/3nKHVFG DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX Reciprocating Saw, One-Handed, Cordless, Tool Only ― amzn.to/2Msu21r Legend Valve & Fitting T-5500 Lead-Free Brass Curb Stop, 1" - amzn.to/3jU9VpO 12 Ah Battery -- amzn.to/33JN48U 9 Ah Battery -- amzn.to/2SKUQwN 6 Ah Battery -- amzn.to/3odC6BW
Thanks Larry. This is the hardest parts of the job - the piers and brackets - and the ground around here is certainly not making things easy! Everything must be as precise as possible or all work downstream will be harder! Hopefully the pour goes well! 😜
A very wise man said over 2,000 years ago, build your foundation on solid rock! Very interesting video, I enjoyed this. You can borrow my hammer drill to bore your anchor holes, but good luck! It not gonna be easy. Those tubes are pretty nifty, we got them on the building we house our tamper in. Buy lots umbrellas keep rain outa holes 🤣
That very wise man sounds like a carpenter 😉 As far as the concrete pour goes, it looks like we will miss the rain by just hours, but I do have plastic at the ready to cover the tubes if need be. This is by far the most nail biting part of the build! Wood I can deal with but concrete makes me nervous 🥴
@@PlanetMojo put your plastic over the tubes, then put a plywood covering over plastic, you'll be okay. Fresh concrete don't like rain drops, protect it from the drops and all will be well
They actually used a lot of explosives back in the day. You could pick-up a box of dynamite at the nearest general store and blow the rocks to smithereens! 🥴
