@@karter969 Sure, but they have shown by now that they will throw that money his way, for quality roles (he is just as vehemently against doing shit), in his 80s. Ford has successfully transitioned into the rarefied category of 'man who will get good roles until his end' occupied by people like Michael Caine, Robert De Niro, Christopher Plummer, Ian McKellen, Brian Cox, Anthony Hopkins etc.
Dude the Yellowstone universe is killing it right now. The original show is phenomenal. 1883 was great n had some talented actors. Now they have 1923 with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford. I’m happy Taylor Sheridan gets a format where his writing can really shine. His movies are great too but the whole cowboy thing is what he knows best. And it shows.
So, 39 years after 1883. Man, Sheridan is telling the story of the cowboys through a 150 years span, what a trip, what a pleasure, what a privilege to watch it as it unfolds.
@@LinenAssociate Different characters, however it seems strange because the ages and time between 1883 and here don't add up for the age of Ford and Mirrens characters compared to that of James and Margaret Dutton from 1883.
@@donHooligan Forcing himself into parts he doesn't fit? He's not some young actor on the audition grind. At this point in his career, he doesn't need to work. Directors and producers come to HIM if they want him for projects. So they're the ones choosing him for these parts, not the other way around.
@@caomhan84 exactly. ...and he has the name recognition to just "take" roles from more deserving people. he aint a cowboy. it isn't the slightest bit believable. he was weak in Expendables and he basically ruined "Call of the Wild" ....stealing Sam Elliott's role.....because he has clout.
Kudos to the cameraman who recorded these events way back in 1923, and for using a high definition camera too.. we can finally enjoy this documentary in the comfort of our living rooms, thank you
@@joshp3994 It's on his IMDB page. It's on most other sites. He was the guy at the beginning telling Harrison Ford's character that he can't start a range war. He has his hair slicked back and a white moustache. He's playing the sheriff.
Yes! Kind of happened once before in the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles: S2 E21, “Palestine, October 1917” (aka E15, “Daredevils of the Desert”). Daniel Craig costars in that episode. But not with the real deal, Harrison Ford
I just LOVE how yellowstone is getting after it with these other shows. Thank you for giving the people what they want. It shows the creators have truly given thought into this world. Love it! Also Helen Mirran is serving HELL YEAH
Huh? How is it showing that Yellowstone is getting after it with these other shows??? Yellowstone was okay but it wasn’t outstanding, it wasn’t the best in any single category to be honest
Glad to see a western type show use the Irish accent as it is historicaly correct as in the States they where many Irish. Fair play Sherridan showing the irish heritage☘️☘️
Holy crap, that cast! The one and only Dame Helen Mirren in the lead with Harrison Ford making their TV debuts. Character actors Flynn, Dalton, Robert Patrick, Badge Dale and Roche too. Cray cray
This isn't Helen Mirren's TV debut though. She did Prime Suspect for years in the UK. That's probably why she has top billing here. It is Ford's debut, though.
Taylor Sheridan is kicking ass! Anything that he writes & produces, shines! Seems like all A list actors are lining up to get into his shows. Also loving the "Tulsa King" with Sylvester Stallone!
@@juliepoyntz799 What kind of a sick pickup line is that? I'm in a relationship you know. Anyway, the real friends were the Harrison Ford trivia and quotes I met along the way.
@@markeichler2225 Google translates this as: " A fantastic veteran but brilliant pair. Ford is the essence of adventure cinema and admires the British talent. Glory to the two" (Some translating awkwardness from Italian to English, but you get the idea)
And they have so far all been terrible!! And from the apparent leaks of Indy 5 it's going to be worse then the Crystal Skull. I love Harrison Ford, have since 1980 but he has all but destroyed the legacy of his most iconic characters. Hopefully this isn't another dud .
@@andysalter7192 he loves the Indiana Jones character, and he came back to Star Wars because he learned he was finally going to get killed off, that was what he wanted for the character.
@@kevbrix9686 he came back for one thing only MONEY! Not that I have a problem with that , I know he loves the Indy Character but he hated Han Solo, he wanted him dead in Empire. Regardless of that , they turned Han into a Dead Beat Dad who then dies like a chump, Indiana Jones 5 by all accounts is going to be ANOTHER Feminist agenda film ( written and starring Hardcore Feminist Phoebe Waller Bridge ) that ends up killing off Indy and the Strong WAHMAN who knows everything ( and will be better at everything and treat Indy like a moron , while being arrogant and entitled) takes his place. It's Disney, they are more concerned with pushing the agenda then making good movies these days. And Indy 4 was terrible enough, and do we really need to see a 80 year old Indiana Jones?? Blade runner was also terrible, they ruined the first one by making the choice to say that Deckard was a Replicant. But it's not just Harrison Ford, Hollywood in general is creatively bankrupt and has ruined just about every great Franchise whether that is Star Wars , Star trek, Terminator, Doctor who ( though that is the BBC ) , Ghostbusters, Marvel and next Indiana Jones! They better stay the hell away from Back to the Future .
@@kkandsims4612 Helen Mirren is one of those actresses that just delivers. She’s always been a looker but she can do ugly or old at the drop of a hat without any self-consciousness. Like her friend Judi Dench she’s very real and it’s scary. Younger actors could learn a lot from such people.
I was taking taking photos of the buildings by that set in butte before they started filming. The town is very cool. Its blocks and blocks and blocks of early century structures.
Yeah I think he said when an Intreview was going on that it took him 20 years to Realize he should do stuff behind the Camera, so I assume he makes up for the Lost Time right now with many good Shows at the Same Time, how he does that I dunno, but he is on fire : Yellowstone doing its 5 Season, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, soon 1923 & movies like Sicario? He is awsome ( I am stoked for 1923, I am waiting for Tulsa King Episode 4 & can bing Watch Mayor of Kingstown Later)
