@@SimeoneMuseum It is my understanding that the highest octane race fuel is only 115 octane. I'm talking 150. I don't believe octane this high is being sold anymore, not even for aviation use.
@@buckwheatINtheCity I am starting my RU-vid channel possibly with the name John's Garage or John's Pre-war Garage? The first build is a 1928 Morgan Aero RIP GN Special with 4 wheels. The second that I have already sourced an engine and transmission, as well as a rear will be a 1935 MG Magnette with a 4 cylinder engine supercharged, boat tail and dual wheels on the rear. Any ideas on a catchy name for the channel would be welcome. Also here in the States we can still obtain 150+ octane fuel . I am a chemical engineer so if they stop supplying it I will start formulating it myself. I may build a 6 cylinder bullet proof engine based on a Ford (Jaguar) and use it as a test bed for Nitro paraffin fuels as well as alcohols to see what would be the best and worst. If I blow the engine I can either weld it back together or build another one.
