cabinet turned out good, but who knows how long it will last with the new lacquer on top of the old lacquer , but I wont be around long enough to know.....you win a free chocolate chip cookie Dean 🍪
Cleaned up the cabinet but left the character it got over the decades. Saw a trick when you paint using a spray can ( and it's colder than one would like )and that is to put the can in a container of very warm water for 10 minutes. Then shake the paint up as required and the paint comes out smooth as silk. Dog bone resistors are indeed cool. What a treat it was how you got the old goat radio looking and sounding so very good.

Thanks for another great video, Buzz. I didn't think that cabinet was going to turn out that well. Shows what I know. I was thinking that the radio dial scale was a decal rather than painted. Nice to see another chapter of Dickel Affocket presents....

Great job Buzz. I was surprised when you applied a clear coat over the Restor-A-Finish, a handy tip. The red transformer looked great as well, I might have to start doing the same 😄 That has to be one of the best dials I've seen on a US radio, up there with some of the Zenith dials. Old Goat frightened me when he appeared in the dial cutout but he redeemed himself with his hip hop dancing 🤣 Thanks Buzz for another entertaining video.
Hi David, you like red transformers now? haha, I dont believe it... if you did that, 50% of your viewers would un-subscribe, 🤣..the OldGoat can dance and sing...Some people have all the talent! ..If you put lacquer over restore-a-finish, make sure you wipe off all the excess and let it dry a few days, as Howards has some oils in it. cheers mate....I lift a cold one to you! 🍺

An excellent result Buzz, but I have to admit, you really had me anxious and on the edge of my seat with this one. At one point, I had almost given up on those laminations ever receiving the Buzz hallmark colour !
That radio came out really nice Buzz. I liked the pack of Camels and the ash tray on top - that was a nice touch! I hope you hid them from Dickel though - he has enough bad habits already. Man, the Goat can really cut a rug! Best, Bill.

Looks good, There is a rumor going around that there is a graffiti artist using red paint and so the local hardware store there on the lookout for the culprit.
