Love your Ford. Our first tractor was an 8N with a loader and steel tracks, an aftermarket option for working in snow. We plowed a lot of snow with that little bucket and a three point blade. My brother still runs it today. Ours had the Sherman three ranges with the four gears so it could really go on the road…and we boys squeezed every mile out of it😊

My Dad had a 8N when I was a kid, then we had a Farmall Cub , a Allis B then me and him got a 9N with the Sherman overdrive....Some one added running boards to yours, great idea. 9N was blue and gray, 2N was gray and the 8N was red and gray....We always call the old buzz saws, The Wheel of Death....Thanks Gary.

NNNIIIICCCEEE!!!!! Yep, those old N series tractors were everywhere. Always nice to hear some of the backstory of a tractor. Those guys did a great job getting the Ol' 9N tuned in to start with such little effort. Looking forward to seeing the buzz saw in action. Take care.

Never had one on this one. I am thinking of making one. We got this used and I’m pretty sure that it had been taken off. The other thing is the exhaust blows underneath the tractor and out the rear. Also blowing sawdust in your face. Thanks for watching

Nice tractor buddy. The first thing I noticed was the 8N colors. But she runs well! We had an 8N on the farm for a while. These small tractors sure changed the history of farming with the 3-point hitch systems. There have been a few fingers left in the dirt running those saws. ( or worse) Take care

My Great Grandpa had a 9N with the half track setup. I never saw it with the tracks on. Only pictures. It was also repainted in 8N colors at some point. Also had the buzz saw. My cousin's son has it now and has restored it I hear but I haven't seen the final result.

I thought the 2n, produced during WW2 was built with magnetos too. I think the concept was to conservematerials for the war effort. But then again Gary....I've been known to be wrong before. (-; Sweet buzz saw. I see your teeth are still in very good shape with the negative hook angle. When I get 'em in really bad shape tooth wise, I reshape the teeth to a positive angle. Some say that will jerk the wood out of your hands, but after 60+ years on them, I can say that is negligible at most. Great video, awesome tractor and a nice tip of the hat to your Dad.

Went to Nova Scotia a few years ago to a plowing match. A buddy of mine there lent me his Ford 2N and two sod plow to plow with. I was the only non resident plower. 7 of us plowed. I some how won the match. The fella who lent me his came in fourth. He was using his Ford 8N. Boy his buddy’s give him quite a teasin about this Islander beating him. He still gets teased at times. 🤭🤭🤭

As with anything else that spins.. you shouldn't be that close to it.. absolutely no reason to get any part of your body, within a foot of the blade..
