My wife Barb and I live on our 224 acre farm in the scenic hills of n e Iowa. Having been a tractor enthusiast my entire life, it seems only fitting to have a you tube tractor channel. my favorite videos were the two videos that I have done of Big Bud. The worlds largest tractor. On this farm, we have 7 tractors. We have John Deere, Ford, and Kubota. Not everything on this channel is related to tractors. If you are lucky, you will get to see some high country Jeeping in Colorado. I also like to attend farm auctions and equipment consignment auctions and feature them on this channel. Thank you for joining us on this journey. Please be sure and subscribe to the channel and click on the like button. We sure appreciate it.
You're right about nobody making videos of these being used. Other than a few little demo videos, there's not a ton out there. I'm looking at the L3901/2 and videos of that in use are even more rare than the 2501. It's a shame because the DT models of the two have different transmissions - the 39 looks to be more of a true shuttle shift and I believe it's fully synchronized. It also has a 2 stage clutch for the PTO, allegedly... But of course I can't confirm any of this because the dealers don't want to stock the DTs and nobody is making videos with them 🙄. Thanks for doing what you do!
New sub and we have really similar backgrounds. I found you over on Grampies channel. Stop by if you like we both know te difference of a knife, wrench and a hammer, LOL. Take care and have a great weelend new friend.
@@tractortalkwithgary1271 I had a great edditor in John Reid untill life just overwhelmed him he got so busy. That and Videos wern't being anything new for folks. I am Wanting to find out how to do videos so I can do some show and tell on my great big collection and stack.
I just searched Amazon for golf cart mirrors. They are relatively inexpensive. The mounts I made from some flat stock I had and then used retrieval magnets to the flat stock and bolted the mirrors to the magnets The magnets were the single biggest expense and a step that you could skip. You should be able to copy my set up for around $20-$25 minus the magnets
Hi Gary. First I want to say thank you both for your service. Second I can see how that would be one of the most memorable events. I was laughing so hard. I look forward to seeing more. Take care!
Thanks Justin. I have so many projects to get taken care of now, it’s hard to find time for you tube. I will try to get to the 2nd part this week, but not making any promises.
Good Morning Sir, ( I'm so sorry that I miss your OUTSTANDING video !!! ) 👍😇👌Great sence of humor that you both have during that interview 😇👍👍 Cheers 🍻🍻
No worries Dave. Thanks for watching. Now go get yourself some outstanding tractor therapy. Just be sure to video it and share it with the you tube watching world. 👍🏻😊
Great interview, Gary. One of my biggest regrets is not enlisting in the Marines. I was at the recruiting station with papers in front of me and pen in hand. But it was June 1975 and Vietnam was too fresh. I chose the Marines because my grandfather was a SeaBee during WW2 and had great admiration for the Marines, seeing what they did on the Islands in the Pacific. Thanks to you and Dan for not bowing out like me!
Thank you Rick. I remember watching what was happening on Viet Nam every night on the news…. Thinking all the time that it was very likely that I would be going.
I enjoyed that Gary. The dropping trowel and the spray had me laughing pretty good. The best partners and trainers I ever had when I was LEO were Marines. I learned so much from them.
How's she goin'? First off Gary, Thank you and Dan for your service. Great stories and memories. It's so nice that you can share the good times and have a laugh or two so that the bad times don't seem to be so bad maybe!! Take care!!
Good evening Gary, quite the interview and quite the story. Foods from different countries can really come back to bite you. Very interesting interview, thanks Gary, have a great week, Ben 👍🍻
I've heard a lot of stories... And know what different foods in different countries can do to a person... Gotta say, that poor bastard in the turret!!!! Thank you for your service, both of you!! Thank you for the video Gary!!
It seemed like a good idea at the time. Besides it was a family tradition. Uncle WWII. 3 Cousins Vietnam. Good quotes. You will wear out shoes on the outside heal for the rest of your life. Semper Fi.
Thanks Bryce. Semper Fi! Not one bit sorry for doing it. Very proud to have placed my feet upon the yellow footprints and pounded my heels on the parade deck of MCRD. Also glad it is over. Happy as a pig in shit actually!
Hi Gary. It would be so cool to see that up close and personal like that. I enjoyed that a lot! Are we going to see some Tractor Talk with Gary logging With the Kubota and the grapple when they are all done? I am sure there are a lot of tree tops to clean up.
Hello Gary, A great video! It's a shame to see all the ash trees dying. That guy loading up the logs wasn't fooling around. It wasn't his first day. Watching the log truck leave was a bit nerve racking on that side hill lol. Thanks for sharing.
Got em! Now to wait for it to quit raining so we can get them hauled out. They have to come out through a pretty precarious spot, tippy and steep. Plus we have to drive across the neighbors field who is kind enough to let us do it. Don’t want to mess up my good neighborly relationship! Thanks for watching Dan
Well if that first tree isn’t a Bee’s 🐝 Knee 😂 Such a shame about so many Ash trees having to go for being dead, but man did it make the job manageable with the beast equipment 👍🏻 Always so amazing to watch and see in action and witness their great power
How's she goin'? Nice to see guys doing what they do best eh! Imagine how long it would take to bring that wood out without that gear? Thanks for sharing Gary. Take 'er easy!!
Thanks Mike. Always appreciate it when you stop by the channel. These loggers are really good. It has been great just to watch them work.z but now comes my part. The clean up!
Right up my alley there... Mack truck with a Serco loader, sweet... Those loaders are made just SW of me in Two Harbors, MN, I knew the founder of the company, he's long past on. ... I've spent many a hour on a cable skidder " tow'n the line"......Love it, Thanks Gary.
