There's a mistake in the title at the beginning. It's a 4 rank organ, with 268 pipes. A Dulciana rank was added later. Played by Kari Ostertag. Due to minor electrical issues all stops are active to reduce the noticeability of dead keys.
Tom, Thanks for your prompt reply. I am glad to know this organ is being restored. I am sure a synthetic reed sound can be made since there is a 2 2/3' stop which can go with an 8' flute to simulate a Clarinet. If a Tierce 1 3/5' was available then it would be nice. An Oboe can be made with a Viola 4' Nazard 2/2/3' and a 2' pitch.
Tom, I am looking forward to see most posts of this organ when you have it finished. It is a nice organ, and would be a glorious pipe organ for any small church in lieu of some old electronic digital organ.
very interesting to see one of the smaller A-S organs, despite the dead notes it has a charming sound, unfortunately it appears to be in bad condition...
What are the ranks in this organ? What are the stop names? Does it have any reed stops or provisions for making a reed stop sound? It sure needs tuning. This is a nice small organ if it was working properly.
Ranks: Open Diapason, Stopped Flute, Viola/Strings, and Dulciana (Skinner muted strings). Diapason stops: 8' Diapason, 4' Octave. Flute stops: 16' Bourdon, 8' Gedackt, 4' Flute, 2' Piccolo. Strings stops: 8' Viola, 4' Viola, 2 2/3' Nazard, 2' Fifteenth. Dulciana is just an 8' stop. No reeds unfortunately. This video was made before any work at all was performed on the organ. I'm nearly done with restoration, and it tuned quite nicely. I'll be posting more when it's done.
