Absolutely gorgeous dress! I love all the tucks! I know they are tedious to do (having done my share of growth tucks in my daughters' dresses when they were little), but they are so worth the effort. You did a fantastic job, and you look so beautiful wearing it.

Seeing that kits time is right in the middle of the hardest time of the Great Great depression and then Molly's books are during WW2 is very interesting to see the whole thing of fashion for them both as historical dolls. Kits family had no money they were very poor and then molly while growing up in the middle of WW2 Is interesting to wonder what did Molly's parents go though when she and her siblings were born in the late 1920s and 1930s.. With the great depression going on. It makes me wonder
I always thought that Molly's dress was a hand me down dress from her older sister Jill but I never knew that her dress was made during WW2 fabric rasionning
