This was my tree display at the convention. It placed second in the contest. Under the tree are Lionel trains from a series that was made between 1915 and 1923. The tree stand was made in 1928 by Noma. Purple C6 bulbs were discontinued around 1932, so these are pretty old. The unsilvered glass balls are from World War two when the military needed all the metal they could get for the war effort. The star was made by Noma in the 1920s.

Beautiful tree. I especially like how it's left natural and not trimmed into that perfect, triangular shape that you mostly see.

Those wonderful Shiney Brite...sold and known world wide.... all from West 17th Street in Manhattan. Some of those shiney brites look like war time WWII no mercury items. Wonderful memories.....

Thank you! It was about 25 hours of decorating the tree, including complications.

@@Christmasmemories1 Why don't you start making replicas of these lights here? Lions Den Antiques used to many years ago. Christopher Radko had beautiful replics of ancient lights. You should see his Ivory Candles! They are absolutely awesome as are the two tone C7 Christmas Lights!

@@MrPyroguru That is not my specialty, but there are people making replicas of other vintage lights right now.

Wait a minute, those aren't regular ornament hangers. They do so much more to show off the ornaments. Very nice. Do you make the hangers? If not, where do you buy them?

You did a superb job of placing the ornaments in just the right spot. Do you bring your own tree or do you find it in the city of your convention?
