The difference between oli and liquid bubble lights

These are candelabra base Paramount Bubble lights. They fit in the same sockets as C7 bulbs that run on a parallel circuit. The oil bubble light was made in 1948.

There is a third type of tube, but I need to display it in a different light fixture. I will do that later.

So the liquid ones are methylene chloride(?); what is the "oil" that us in the oil ones? Great demo, thanks for sharing.
