Easter Parade (Berlin) by Harry James & his Orchestra
This James recording purportedly sold over a million copies through the years. Originally written by Irving Berlin as “Smile And Show Your Dimple,” the melody was recycled with the new “Easter Parade” lyrics for the 1933 Moss Hart-Irving Berlin musical revue “As Thousands Cheer.” In 1942 Bing Crosby brought it back to the big screen in “Holiday Inn.”
