This is going to start looking a little better now. We'll get some sheet metal and lights back on it.

And another Incredible vid Kevin! Thank you so much! Like someone else that commented, I too learn something (usually several things) from each installment you post. Thank you for that! I had previously told you myself and my 95 y/o dad were about to start a restoration on our “51” 8N. He passed peacefully this last Friday. It’s tough to deal with and I am planning on going ahead with the restoration on my own, in my fathers honor. Thank you for what you do. These antique iron horses are worth every effort and you certainly place love and detail into your work! We Loved watching your videos together. Thank you!

Great video and great job on the '48 8N. I have a '47 8N that I am working on...unfortunately I don't have a bevy of parts laying around, but it's getting there, albeit slow. Anyways, great looking tractor.

take your time and enjoy the work you do. I took this one apart 12 years ago

I like how you painted the G.M. alternator to match the engine, so it doesn't look as bad.

Thanks, a little trick I learned. When I can, I will switch it to a Ford altermator like I have on my 52.

@@ClaremontClassicGarage , I'm a Mopar and Studebaker guy, so any GM stuff on a non GM product stands out , I do understand why the swap though, also I like your flashers ,especially how they are self contained

@@ClaremontClassicGarage ,wow that is quite a situation, my grandfather had a Studebaker Dealership and sold the first 1948 Studebaker assembled at the former Hamilton Ontario plant

Hey Kevin I bet looking at it now you’re glad you did all that body work even though you hate doing that eh! It’s looking just beautiful that was also a cool tip about the vented gas cap. I would really appreciate it if you could just show us on the next video what kind of tools came with the tractor that would be interesting! Carry on Canada 🇨🇦

Where did you get your set cover as it looks padded nicely? Anyone?
@ClaremontClassicGarage

I got it from Just8Ns. But that was probably about 10 years ago. Pretty sure they still sell them though.

What paint and what color did you use for your body panels?
@ClaremontClassicGarage
@ClaremontClassicGarage 2 месяца назад
I got the paint from the New Holland dealer. They all stock it. I think its called Ford 39-64 Gray or something like that.

Good sir! What’s the paint color or manufacturer of the tins? I’ve heard it called a grey from time to time as well as antique white. I have a 1952 8N that I will restore one day and I’d like to use this color. 👍

Sorry not manufacturer of the tins. Rather who makes the paint.

@@NeMoC53 I get it at the new Holland dealer. Its just called 39-64 Gray. Any new holland dealer will have it on the shelf.
