It was El paso beige. I matched the paint to the original paint ship in the original Martin Senour chip book. The interior was called Mouse Brown.

i had driven one,,, what a blast! there is nothing delicate about taking a corner in these things,, (or many) lol,,, was like driving a bus,,,,,i loved it!!! do you know Joe Cutler?

Very nice. As far as the transmission options, almost all 1949 Cadillacs came with the hydramatic. Very few manuals were sold, unlike with most other cars of that time.

Power windows were commonplace (or standard) in the 1949 convertibles, Coupe de Villes, and Fleetwood 60 series, but quite a bit less common in the 61 and 62 sedans, from my observations.

During some model years, the 61 and 62 series utilized different body shells & wheel bases, however I think they were same in 1948 and '49. The 61 was the entry-level Cadillac, having basically replaced the pre-war "junior Cadillac" aka the LaSalle. The series 61 would have had fewer standard accessories and a plainer interior than the 62. Same fine engine though!
