I'm glad these old videos have been preserved, in the days of black & white, no tv, in many cases no fridges or telephones, few cars, walk to school, 1d on the bus to town, our history for those who remember it.

look at the perambulator in the left hand upper corner my mom had one where you could flip the hood depending on which way you were going, then my brothers and I got hold of it and cut the 2 axels off for a trolly ??
The little boy at the front is Alice’s Sister Ethel’s son. I don’t know who the children in the creek are, later at 4+ minutes we see Alice with husband Hugh Watt and I can only assume the children with them are theirs or at least some are.

@@alexandsim1551 God you must live a miserable life if a simple film can make you so derogatory. Take the blinkers off and look at what's happening around the world. You might just come to appreciate the simple freedoms we have, much like this movie. Cheer up.
My parents arrived late 50's from the UK during winter, I can see the culture shock my mother went through and she grew up in house without running water and who knows what electricity. People look rough and age faster in NZ. Amazed to find in Europe people in their 60's and 70's still having living healthy parents.

mediamash clayton yes I do have the rights, this is a regular 8 film in my possession taken by a family member back in the day. The people in it are mostly my relatives. As a courtesy I would ask any relevant family members if they were ok with it, I am sure there wouldnt be a problem. The music is also mine. I have quite a lot of this kind of footage. I transfer these myself.
