I'm 74 and I bought a 1950 Cadillac. Four door showroom condition in 1970. I paid $450 ! It had 47,000 on the odometer ! I knew the owner and I did alot of favors for him growing up! That was payback! It felt like riding on a cloud. The back seat passed the Drive-In challenge with ease! So much room! WHAT A RIDE!!

@Downecker: "The back seat passed the Drive-in challenge with ease!" I had a 1953 ford two-door sedan. I still have fond memories of the times I enjoyed the company of girls. Later in 1966, I bought a used 1964 mercury, 390 cu inch 3 speed standard stick on the column. To the girls my car was a "private place" the girls (high school age) could talk and laugh freely. We had a lot of fun.

Super cool content! Pretty sure the car at 1:30 is a '58 Plymouth Belvedere, not a Chevy Bel Air 🙂

I fully agree,, I had a mint 1957 Chrysler Saratoga (Car of the Year ) in 1973 (push button shift) , )and a mint !962 Chrysler Newport in 1975 an 1976 . Chevy NEVER had the rear fins that high. It is definitiely a Plymouth or Chrysler car.: )

Pretty good video, but I noticed a few mistakes. You had a 58 Plymouth, labeled as Chevrolet Bel Air. These cars were supposed to be fifties vintage, but you had a 62 Ford Fairlane and a Buick Skylark from 62 give or take a year. Even though they weren't correct, they were still good pictures. I would have liked to see more pictures of the pretty girls you used for click bate to get me to watch the video😊

I bought my first car in June 1970 for $50 bucks a 1956 Buick Special and it only needed gas and a thermostat in a year of driving. Back when Gas was .26 cents a gallon at Chevron. Wonderful midnight Hay field party car😅

I am old enough to remember seeing a decent used American made car sold for $75.00 in 1972 at the farmer market in Philadelphia. It was so cheap compare to Thailand during Vietnam war that 1964 Ford Mustang sold for $2.4K new with 300% importation taxes.

Great pictures! I love the T-Bird 2-seaters from the 50's. There was one thing missing from this video...the year of each car. I knew a lot of the years, but not all. Great Job!

My 47 Buick 50 had a 258 cui straight 8.It was more like piloting a plane than driving a car.The steering was vague, the brakes vaguer and gas mileage atrociuous but looked good.

@1:29 You have that labeled a Chevrolet Bel Air but it is a 1958 (I think 58) Plymouth Belvedere. I love this era of cars. Never get tired of seeing them. Being a kid from the 50's/60's they were new then and I liked the new styles much more than the early 50's.

Yes, 1958. The lower grille has horizontal bars as opposed to the vertical bars of 1957.

At time 1:35 you have a blue Plymouth indentified as a Chevrolet Bel Air. I believe there are several other errors further along. Regardless, thanks for the presentation.

Just a note. The 1958 Edsel (with the horse collar radiator) was a flop. It cost Ford Motor Co. 350 million dollars, a huge some of money in 1958, almost 5 billion today.

It's disturbing when people that know little to nothing about cars bring forth a piece like this. Many of the cars brand names, model names, or both are incorrect. As well, two of the cars presented are from the 1960s. It would be much more sensible if the video were titled "Pretty Cars."

The girls were pretty too. No tattoos, or nose & lip rings. I’ll take the 50’s -60’s over any era. It wasn’t without its problems, but nothing like todays.
