nice car its cool to see you show the brake upgrade. people dump all their money in going fast and forget about stopping and other safety issues. door latches can also be a problem on alot of classics cars. they only latch on one side of the pin/stop and can fly open taking corners. newer cars come with a [bearclaw] double latch around the pin. its a pain but a good bodyman or fab guy can swap. much better than throwing yourself or your lady out the door. unless it was a bad date lol
Before the brake pads get all rusted up get the numbers off it and run them, it'll save you tons of time trying to figure out what the pads and calipers are later..
Do you have any clue if I could make my own kit from different cars instead of using the kit from speedway? I’m on a really tight budget cause I’m still in high school.
Interesting, I thought they would've swapped it to a 350 or something else if they were willing to do brake work. Course it's not a problem, the 216/235 are basically impossible to destroy without specific damage.
If he wants to keep a six in it a gmc 302 would be an excellent monster, if not the 302 then i'd recommend a chevy 250 or 292 six, both can be built to 300hp but the 250 can rev out way better than the 292 as the 292 is more of a torque monster.
