262 or 308? I remember being greatly impressed by my uncle's 47 or earlier Commodore 8, and there have been some Super Sixes in the clan. My cousin has had several Hudsons; his inventory presently includes only a 37 six cylinder sedan in very nice original condition.
@@gregdelagrange8573 Yes - high torque from long stroke engines, and what, 4:56 rear ends? My cousin wasn't above teaching respect to some much newer cars at the "Stoplight 500". An uncle had a 53 or 54 Hollywood hardtop, my favorite step-down. Not sure if that's the one he put an aluminum head on, but, whichever Hudson it was, that project wasn't a raving success - prone to gasket failures.
@@stephenandloriyoung5716 Thankfully mine has an iron head and 4.11 axle. My next project is installing overdrive transmission in it for better highway driving.
