1951 Smith-Corona Clipper typewriter at work 

This is one of my all-time favorite machines because it offers such a pure, simple typing experience. There's not a single feature you don't need. Just the essentials for putting thoughts on paper. The Clipper, in use, achieves a wonderful kind of transparency: It's just a tool that falls to hand perfectly, gets out of the way and does its job.
