My Great Uncle, Jack Sweeney, had a summer Home on Chautauqua Lake back in the late 40s & all the 1950s near Bemus Point. He also had a Chris Craft like this one. His wife's name was "Gladis" and he had 1 Son (Jack Jr.) and 1 Daughter. His main home was in Buffalo and he owned the Genesis (sp ?) Hotel in Buffalo. Sounded like the idle was set @ 2300RPM? My '55 CC w/a Model K 6cyl is set for 550RPM for idle. I did not see or hear the gurgling of water coming out the pipe either.
