This 1955 BSA 650cc A10 is a rare home market model in the US, in original maroon livery and with the larger UK-market petrol tank. All original, starts first kick every time and runs "sweet as a nut" as the Brits like to say.
If you're new to classic British bikes, this model could well be the most easy to own, to maintain and to ride, from the Classic 1950s era when BSA was the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world.

Beautiful bike! I remember the dealer near me (Honda/BSA) had some BSAs that looked like they'd been shipped as deck cargo on a submarine. Sometime in the late 60s, I believe.

BSA motorcycles were top of the line. Expensive, yes. Worth the cost by far. Sorry that BSA died out.😢

Very nice! Don’t pump the tickler. Just hold it down till the float bowl overflows out the tickler hole.

I know it's not a "pump" (I've owned hundreds of English motorcycles), but after these sit for a while, the float needles tend to stick in their seats, and holding the tickler down doesn't release them to allow fuel to flow. In such a case, "pumping" the button will allow the float to return up against the needle several times and "break it free" so to speak.

Thanks for your comment! This particular BSA was an older British restoration, and was in this condition when I acquired it around 15 years ago. Restorations done in the UK back when these were still fairly plentiful and "cheap as chips" were not done to the extremely high "showroom or better" standards of today. Other bikes of mine on here were restored by me, some others were acquired already restored, and some are unrestored originals.
