My favourite aircraft My dad flew one way back to Bogotá via Central America from Lock Haven Pa. This adventure in 1951!! The Tri-Pacer has that special beauty and simplicity that no other private single engine tricycle gear airplane has. This fantastic video shows how nice and attractive this aircraft is. Congratulations Kevin. Greetings from Colombia.
Bought a 1956 Tripacer N7117B in 1970. Flew it for 12 years before converting it to a taildragger PA22/20 Pacer. Sold II in 1984. Flew all over the eastern United States in that airplane.
I'm 75 this month and this video and background music almost made me tear up.. I started working as a part time line boy when I was 14, in exchange for dual and time in a J-3. I was checked out for solo in a Tri-Pacer when I was 16. When I obtained my private at 17, I started taking all my friends flying in it.. I loved flying the Tri-Pacer and at that age, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven.. Will you please share the name and composer of that background music ? Thank you so much !
@Walter M - I started working part time as well as a line boy, however at age 16.. I received my PPL at 17 too! I fly a J3 and currently working on a Tri Pacer conversion.. How cool!
Hello Joshua.. How interesting ! I did my solo, early time building, and my early cross country work in the J3. When I got checked out in and continued cross country work in a Tripacer; I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. Would be very interesting to me to follow your conversion project !
Kevin nicely done, some epic shots. I own a '52 PA22 and love it. Mine is a 135hp wish it had a bit more but who knows what the future holds. The music was a great choice on this video as well. Love the grass fields something I rarely get to enjoy. Where are you based out of? I'm in SE Wa. Just subbed to your channel. If you get a chance stop by mine please. BTW envious of the wheel pants. Again nicely done.
