In this episode, George describes one of the most iconic jazz guitars ever made - an incredibly beautiful 1957 D' Angelico "New Yorker" Deluxe Archtop Jazz Guitar.
At the beginning of the episode, we were incredibly lucky to have Mr. Wes Langlois (Gruhn's Staff Member) demo the guitar's warm jazz tones - prior to George's description.
During the episode, George focuses primarily on the guitar's nitrocellulose binding.....which was deteriorating, badly, as George shows (with a flick of his finger!) in the episode.
These guitars are just simply amazing creations and John D' Angelico was truly a Master Builder.
