Hey thanks! Yeah I know, I’m doing it mostly so that once I get the engine wiring nice and tidy, I never have to worry about it again. Because after that one time, I will get lazy and rush the next time I have to connect everything 😂
Nothing I used aside from the wiring harness is VW specific. I can’t remember if 71 is 8 fuse or 10 but you should be able to find an ATC fuse block that has the correct number of circuits. Just have to find away to mount it and the transfer your wires over.
Nice wiring mod, are you going to make your rear valence removable too?, one more thing to make engine swaps easier. Loving your channel, I stumbled across Clementine on Reddit and wanted to see more, I was chuffed with all the great vids, thanks
Hey thanks! Nah, I worked too hard straightening the apron out and getting the decklid to close properly to bother making it removable. Plus I don’t like things to be easy all the time 😂
I used Deutsche DT Series 8 Socket Plug. Wirecare.com has a great assembler page that allows you to custom build a kit for your needs. Reasonably priced, good quality, fast shipping
head lights, turn signals, it's the simple things in life.... hey, at home depot, or harbor freight sells a fish, fwiw.... one or two engine connectors, I see, like a modern car, like a subaru. I did think that was a good idea.
I can get a set of NOS Bosch W8A spark plugs for my 61 bug with 1690 engine .Is there any reason not to use these or are there better plugs that people are using !? Thanks
I think they’re probably fine. I used Bosch WR8AC plugs, which I assume are updated versions of the W8A plugs. WR8AC plugs also do not work in most aftermarket heads. New aftermarket heads required late bus, long reach style plugs. Bosch W8CC
