A brochure for the Jaguar Mk2 car range of 1959-1967 is today's brochure review, and in it all three versions of the classic Jaguar Mark 2 feature - the 2.4, 3.4 and the 3.8 litre, with either automatic or manual transmission (the related Daimler V8 250 doesn't feature however).
Of all the 1960s Jaguar saloons, the Mk2 is probably the most iconic of them all, beloved of car enthusiasts and the criminal set alike when these cars were commonplace, in the 1960s and 1970s. A well-driven 3.4 or 3.8 litre Mk2 could show a clean pair of tyre treads to most police cars in Britain during the 1960s, that was until the police themselves adopted their own Mk2 and S-Type Jaguars in a bid to keep on the felons' tails.
This spiral-bound brochure is an original Browns Lane publication, and in it the key features of these classic cars all feature, including the engines and performance figures, interiors, colour choices, specifications and dimensions etc, so if you're a Mk2 fan like me, hopefully this will be of interest.
This vid forms part of a classic car brochures section I have running on the main Old Classic Car site (www.oldclassic..., there are quite a few vids relating to older vehicles now on this channel (including other Jaguar material) so please take a look at the channel's homepage ( / @oldclassiccaruk ) when finished here.
I'd love to read the thoughts of anyone with experience of owning and/or driving a Jaguar Mk2 in the comments section below this video (or the later Jaguar 240/340). Please Like & Subscribe to keep up with future classic car-related uploads, thanks for watching!
