A pleasure to watch your videos. You take a lot of the mystery out of how things come apart and go back together. You do very good work, as shown by the other two trucks you did before.
Im in the process of building a 59 Viking, very similar truck just a wider front end.. I love the 55-59 Chevy/GMC Trucks! Glad your video came up in suggested! 👍
Normal stuff from sitting. Wheel cylinders, rubber brake lines...probably parked it because it needed a clutch. Beautiful truck dude. I get the feeling you're going to keep it factory. Nice work as always Steve!!!
Hey gibson, nice truck looks like you got good hinges by the way the door closes, my 55 has bad hinges and rusted lower hinge pocket on drivers door not a lot of videos out on those repairs, so your lower door repairs on the 63's are going to really be helpful, although on the 55-59 the lower hinge is on the hinge bracket in the inner pocket, sence i have to replace the inner lower door getting the bracket back in the correct spot is going to be critical for door alignment, thanks for your videos
Looking forward to seeing this one progress. Are you planning on staying with the stovebolt or ??? Valvetrain sounds like it needs adjustment, replacement, or isn't getting oil. Spent lots of time over the past decades dealing with smallblocks but "cut my teeth" on these animals. Need to have one more !!
@@Gibson63. Kool !!! Hopefully you will get into dual exhaust and maybe dual carbs. That's what I would shoot for if I turned up a six cylinder Chevy. 👍👍👍 Any case, always enjoy watching your work !!!
@@pappabob29 I will keep you in mind Pappa Bob when I get ready to put my 63 C10 shorty FltSd with 250 I6 three on the tree up for sale. As I was telling Gib I'm just getting to old for this type of fun anymore... Keep On Trucking 👍...
@@dustinsirrine227 Thank you Dustin. That's very kind of you. Unfortunately, like you, at 76, I'm at a point where I'm not sure I'm going to have enough time to finish the three projects I already have. Check out my "The Blue Heinz Gets A Update" playlist to see the project I'm currently doing with my son Scott. Given the good fortune to look for a older six cylinder Chevy, I would look for a 49 or 50 Chevy Coupe or Fleetline. Love those dash boards with the vertical radios.
@@pappabob29: I always liked the 51 Chevy's sweet Old Ride's... You have fun with your Son making many memories that he will have in his heart to pass them on to his Son someday... I will check out your videos and Thanks Pappa Bob us older Chevy guys sure had the best era to grow up in didn't we ! You have fun and enjoy your blessings each day my friend. Keep On Trucking 👍...
She's moving that's a good thing and she just needs some attention here and there. She's a sweet old ride sure didn't change much in the drive line from that 59 to a 63 did they Gib. Is your Bro going to keep her just the way she is or have you do a engine an tranny change over and body work like your 63 or make it like Pop's 63? Any way you make it she's going to be on the road again and that's what those old Chevy Truck's need. Can't wait to see you taking her down the road for a spin Brother. Keep On Trucking Brother 👍...
My brother really just wants to get the old truck up and running maybe some rust repair/ cab corners, straighten out the fender don’t know it looks a little rough will see, probably re-wire from Front to back, more than likely will keep the straight six like it is
@@Gibson63. Cool I think that's great Gib, it's going to be a nice truck when you get her back to being road legal and your brother will be enjoying the car shows with you and Pop's before to long... I'm getting use to my old 63 C10's inline 6 and starting to think twice about dropping in the 327 I had rebuilt to take it's place. I'm getting old and getting down on my old knee's isn't as easy as it use to be so that's a big factor in me making the changes LOL... Gib I really enjoy your videos thanks for sharing with us all my friend. Can't wait for the next video... Keep On Trucking Brother 👍...
