Love the fleetside bed. Best lookin bed ever made. I used to always spy it out when you would pass by it with the plywood table top on it. Those beds just make me proud to be American.

Love the old square body trucks myself, also ppl forget that when you have bigger tires and wheels, yes it looks cool and ground clearance, for mud , but really all it does rob horse power from the engine unless you have a built engine all the right gears in the axles too , sweet truck though rick

Pull the end of little string first the the skinny part on the feed bags, we have 300 chickens in are big barn , I cut them to buy if you pull the string slow whole top comes right off , nice set up any drinking post for the horse 🐴

You were saying will it run and I was waiting for you to open the hood. With glass fenders I don't think it's a 302 6 cyl. Guessing a 350 under the hood, but I could be wrong. Looks good for a puddle jumper for the ranch. You needed a P.U. for the ranch that you can get into the box without needing a stepladder. Take care brother, nice to see Jamie in the video. It has the original 283 V8 Barry. I will dive into that in the next episode. I was actually very surprised at the condition of everything under the hood. I only bought the truck for its original Napco 4x4 system. The cab is one of the worst I have ever seen. Peace and Love back at you my Friend.

@@ClassicTruckRescue My “Rusty” , Ol Blues replacement is living up to his name… I found an oil change sticker with the City Nehalem on it. Oops, I NEVER meant to buy a beach vehicle. Other than that all the needed handicapped stuff works awesomely except the ramp remote so I have to open passenger door and hold a toggle for 16 secs. WAY WAY better than fighting Ol Blue!s ramp and door.

Just a little tip from an old guy that deals with those bags all the time. Don't open them until you are where they are going. It makes them much easier to carry and handle getting through doorways. Also, put the bag in the container before opening it. That makes for easier clean-up and, when the bag gets low, you can just grab it out and pour right from it. Work smarter, not harder brother.

Rick I don't know if you knew that you can put 2x4s in pocket's on your forks for a back stop. Might has trim them to fit. Also acts as guide when fork tips are tilted down. I hope this helps. God bless to you and Jamie. From Michigan.

Looked like Annabella caught sight of a rodent, the way she jumped off of the tractor. You should still save those chrome wagon wheels though. Classic late '70s-'80s look! Even that bumper (looks like late '60s to early '70s or later) ain't bad - just a little wavy. Them hub holes came out pretty good!

I think you are right about the bumper Dan. Works out pretty good because I have a 69 Chevy short, step side bed 4x4 project coming up I can use that bumper on. I wasn't too worried about messing the caps up, I chose the worst 2 to cut. Thanks for the visit.

I would save that bumper,it’s for a square body Chevy line up or you could sell it. They are expensive to buy brand new.

I’d love a two wheel drive truck like that NAPCO with the sweepline bed that looks awesome in my opinion!!!! Rick is that the bed that is fiberglass or is it metal???

No, the fiberglass bed was installed on the Chevy Cameo and GMC Suburban Pickups. The bed on our project truck is a "Fleetside". It came out in 1958 and was extremely popular. So popular that they stopped Cameo production after building only 1450 in 1958. Today the 58 and 59 Chevy Fleetside and GMC "Wideside" beds are in high demand. Our project truck has the original stainless steel trim on the bed "Spears" ....very hard to find. Thanks for the visit Henry.
