Even for 61 this was a modestly equipped Buick Electra. Doesn't appear to have power windows or bench seat. The interior appears to have been redone. Cars in this class usually had a fold down front and or rear armrest in the seating area.
Larry Hawkins it has both power windows and the bench seat. It has little else as far as the equipment that would be expected in a car of this caliber. No air conditioning , power seats, buckets etc. STILL, what a beautiful car! Unmolested and as original as can be! I love it!
Actually you didn't see a lot of leather then, mostly vinyl or cloth, most Cadillacs I saw as a kid had brocade fabric interior's, also in Lincoln Continentals too. I never saw a 60s Buick with leather.
Brad Hamilton Don't let the spots in the trunk or the less than leather seats distract you from the fact that this is a gorgeous car. And with the Wildcat 440, it's ready for the road!
Genuine leather seating surfaces were used sparingly during the 60s. Chrysler 300 and New Yorkers offered optional leather. Most Buicks did not. Leather buckets were optional on Ford Thunderbird. Leather was offered optionally on Cadillac DeVilles and Fleetwood, Imperial Crowns and LeBarons and Lincoln Continental. Leather and vinyl bucket seats were standard on Cougar XR-7.
