nothing more bad ass than a full size car with a 4 speed. sweet car, glad you are running it too, thats what they are meant for.

This Catalina ran a 12.61 that is badass !! And even thought the GTO came out later and came from the factory with the Ram Air III (366hp) or Ram Air IV (375hp) 400 , they couldnt touch the 421SD Catalina 🏁 ( underrated from the factory at 405 hp , they were really putting out over 460 hp ) Sorry , the Catalinas were a good second to a second and a half faster stock from the factory than the Goats.

465hp from the factory in 1962 was insane. That was basically the equivalent of today's modern 707 horsepower Dodge hellcats. These Pontiac sport truly the original muscle cars and then of course in 64 the GTO came out.

Good job getting it off the line with minimal or no fanfare, the man knows his car!

The Catalina is bigger but not heavier, they both weight about 3700 pounds. For comparison, the '63 Tempest was 2800 pounds, the '21 Dodge Hellcat weights 4600 pounds.

That engine belongs in a 66 GTO coupe, hands down!😁🤟
