Thanks for this vid! I'm super happy there's finally something different and new in the RC scene. This RC Lowrider is not for everyone you either into it or not. The guys and girls that are into Lowrider cars are doing crazy things with this RC car making all kinds of modifications, adding sound systems, changing the wheels, custom paint, etc, just like in the lowrider scene. I'm thankful that Redcat checked out my RC Lowriders and asked me to join them on this new adventure and made it into the succes it is!

This is the best produced review I've seen in a long while, not just for an RC car, but for any review period. Well done guys, your efforts are appreciated!

*"oooh Ramone, mama ain't seen you that low in years.."* This car even got the same license plate, I also have a Johnny Lightning diecast of a 1964 (because its my moms birth year) Impala but with out the hydros. Same color too, I named him Lucky Car. But he isn't so lucky since he's falling apart

Awesome guys. There is definitely a big community around this. I'm not a lowrider guy, but I grew up with my brother converting his model car to hoppers. Super cool kit.

This car is pretty cool. Straight forward review and demonstration as well. I like it. As a kid, I'd be given Radio Shack cars every year for either my birthday or Christmas (obviously much lower quality than the model demonstrated here). Naturally since I played with them, they'd get beat up, and once they were no longer nice, my siblings/friends and I would use them for derby cars (the objective to be the last car not flipped). I had a '64 Impala lowrider that I'd always use for this. Even though it wasn't the fastest, heaviest, or off-road capable, the "hydraulics" gave it a huge advantage. I'd lower it all the way to make it harder to flip (and easier to get under the other cars), and if it did get flipped onto its side, I could usually finagle the drive wheels to allow me to grab the pavement with one and push/pull myself upright again.

I had an RC ‘67 Impala that could only do hydraulics with the rear wheels. It could 3 wheel squat and only raise up the rear wheels, but I miss it. This brought me back to my childhood.

Thank you so much for this video. I was gonna sell mine before i seen this. I hated the way it drove when it was in 3 wheel motion. Alot of videos of upgrades but not one showing how to make it perform better.

Radio shack used to sell basically this but with cheaper components. Looked just as good and would do donuts. Used to put my ipod and a Bluetooth speaker in it.

Hi Brett, this is a seriously beautiful piece of kit man, absolutely awesome looking. I’d love to have one of these rc’s, but they’re just a tad too expensive for my meagre allowance lol 😂. But it really is in a class of its own. The range of functionality is mind blowing, and the colour schemes are perfect for them. I’m gobsmacked 😶 . 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧

RC drifter . Telescopic shafts, crawler chassis suspension setup mounted to shock towers and shock towers mounted to 360° high speed servos, run that to a 8 ch remote or garage door relay and bounce awa... Little more too it but you can mod any RC drifter to do this same thing and it'll even have independent control of each shock :) it works awsome and I entirely recommend it

I was never into the low rider scene, but it is very cool for those who were.

Watching this video and seeing the quality and detail you'd expect a name like Losi, Traxxas, Axial, Vanquish or maybe even RC4WD......but its a REDCAT? Not a huge fan of Redcat yet, but they deserve big respect for coming out with something that the major name brands haven't even touched yet.

Back in the mid 90's we use to make them from the model you built then fishing line and a small motor 😉

This is an awesome car and I have seen several reviews on this car....I'm shocked that the bumper wasn't broken as everyone who has gotten this has had a cracked broken front bumper it is a cool rc to have especially if your a lowrider like myself you just have to have this in your collection however it is very overpriced in my opinion.....

Yo... the counter weights are not hidden in gas tank... that's the trunk pan. The gas tank is just in front of the trunk pan tucked up vertical I guess you can say. Hope I don't sound like "that guy" . I have replaced a few of them trunk pans over the years. One of the first things to rust out. And not sure if it's the technical name but the early 60s Chevy frames. We called them X frames. The drive shaft ran thru them with a carrier bearing that wasn't fun to replace. Lol with the X frame and the perfect wheel base made it a favorite for hydraulics (Switches) they rode pretty good on 3 wheels. Oh yeah..... if you didn't upgrade from 4 wheel to 4 wheel disk...good luck stopping on 3. It didn't really want to stop with 4 wheels on the ground.
