Yeah, very funny how everyone complains and/ or tries to put a price on this but each production is selling out along with dealers having a hard time even getting some for retail. You get what you pay for and entertainment these days is damn near priceless.
When the front is lifted, the wheels are sitting at an angle if you look at them from the front of the car. This is actually accurate to what happens when a real lowrider is lifted in the front. This thing is impressive. Go Jevries!
that is actually incorrect. firstly the "tie rods" are incorrectly angled causing bad toe in. there is a toe-in kit provided to correct it a little. as far as butterflied wheels, that is built on purpose for real cars because someone did it years ago and now everyone does it. this RC lifts higher in the front than a real car would, so it's ridiculous. I've been building lowriders for 30 years and butterflied wheels is completely unnecessary. cars will hop just as high with standard suspension and besides that it just looks stupid. I'm building mine like I would a real car

It's not worth 600$ in my opinion. I would expect more realistic details. Opening doors. Hood etc. Not broken pieces out of the box. Cheap plastic body and chassis. It literally looks like it cost 40$ to make
The car looks like penguin when it flapps those front wheels... Regardless of whether you like low riders or not, 600 USD is a lot of money. In return you get a defective car with loose components and a broken bumper. In order for the customer to accept something like that, you have to work with scarcity. Well done Redcat! You have managed to reach the price regions of Traxxas without achieving the quality level. For 600USD you would expect a perfect model straight out of the box, with lights and all the tuning stuff like underfloor lighting and so on. Francis, I take my hat off to you for putting up with this type of quality and still making a positive review of it. I like the design of the car, but the way it looks on the technical side, $ 300 would have been enough. A version would be nice, that would have come without this low-rider garbage and a soft chassis that corresponds to the classic American street cruiser for a price around 200 USD. I couldn't have said no to that. And @Redcat: A light set has to cost at least 100 USD for a handful of LEDs and a few resistors, you still have to learn that from Traxxas. This is how you turn the equivalent of 1 - 2 dollars into real money again. Well, you'll probably sell a lot of bumpers for that. Best regards from Germany, Thomas

It is the first of it's kind and for Redcat to bring this product to the market, stepping into unknown territory was a risky and costly undertaking. With every new developed product there will be things that need to be improved on and I'm sure they will be taken care of. For us die hard Lowriders it's a dream come true to be able to own this collectors item that's not only is cool to play with but also looks good in your living room. The communty is growing fast and the creativity is going through the roof with peope cutting trunks, hoods, doors, adding audio systems, lights, hydro setups, custom interiors, etc. Coming from the Lowrider communty I knew on forehand the demand would be there, no doubts at all. The question was if the RC community would go for such an out of the box, unconvential product. Knowing a bit of Lowrider history I was sceptic about it because a lowrider car in the first place is a traditional show car, not necessarely a performance car. It sits on wheels that are too small for such a big car, it's going low and slow and does "acrobatic" moves. Redcat and I did our best promoting the product to the best of our abillity and are still blown away by the response and sales. It is way more than we expected. To me as an independent artist, creating RC Lowrider for so many years I'm happy that Redcat reached out to me and aksed me to work on this product as it is the first product of it's kind that pays respect to the Lowrider community. I think it's safe to say that the RC Lowrider is here to stay adding a new genre to the RC scene.
@@jevries ya I'd rather see redcat be the leader in the lowrider category. The only problem i have is the poor build quality, cheap bumpers they used and packaging my bumpers came broken front and back. Its not a big deal but when your spending 600$ I think the packaging 🤔 could have been better.
@@JOE_GOMEZ777 I think Redcat def learned from this first run of RC lowriders and will improve on the quality of the bumpers and other parts. I have to say I received 6 cars on two seperate UPS overseas shipments and they were all in one piece. I've seen footage on FB where UPS delivery guys throw/ drop the RC Lowriders over fences. Bizare.

Awesome video! I just ordered one despite the down sides. Lately, Redcat has acknowledged the bumper and toe in link issue and are apparently sending the buyers a link/coupon for the upgraded parts for free! It is a little hefty on price for sure, but for Lowrider lovers (such as myself) this model has hit that mark. I personally like the "63!🤣👍
*Im not gonna lie for the price I was kinda disappointed it didn’t have a servo for each corner and it should’ve came with the lights I bought mine because I’ve been a fan of Jevries since I was 13 and I didn’t know his version was the blue one and I picked the red 😩*
I got the red one cons body clip placements prolly offer more spare parts like the antennas are so easy to break if your not careful and the suspension when your raised up all the way hard to steer but they started selling correction parts so yeah I like the blue real nice man 👍
Francis, yea my left bumper fell off trying to get the body off too, I had to super glue it back, lol This is my 2nd highest price r/c vehicle own, the 1st one is the Traxxas UDR~! It might become a shelf queen...
Reconsider not reviewing bashers! Your review are the best on the internet. I have the sport primarily because of you. You once said bashers are for kids, not true. All RC are for kids, of all ages,. Not asking you to change format, just grab some bashers and review them, for the community!
At that price point I would have expected a metal chassis and a front-mounted motor and somewhat realistic two speed transmission and a better interior. Oh, and a hard body. My WPL D12 Suzuki Carry has more detail for $60-70 including working headlights 😅 Edit: I get that this is a unique lowrider vehicle but I even if I was into this scene I still wouldn't pay $600+ given its quality or lack thereof

Props to redcat for having the balls to not follow everyone like lemmings in the bashing lineup. Like team corally following arrma ect ect they always have kinda do their own thing which is cool. The price is stupid though but I'm sure in a year or two when there's a bunch of knockoffs of it they will lower the price allot or offer a roller. Also awesome servo
The hard part is justifying the fun factor of this vehicle. Most people will probably play with it for one day and that’s it. It might be worth it for those who will customize it for many many months.

I think with the counter weight set up correctly where it wouldn’t really lock all the way back it could definitely be made to look pretty cool and I absolutely love low riders and I love this car I just don’t know if I could justify spending the money for it. I would be afraid it would be more of a shelf queen
@@RCReviewChannel from what I’ve seen everybody’s put the weights in the very back so when the front hops it locks straight up in the air I haven’t had one in front of me but I think putting the counterweights possibly over the rear axle or slightly in front of would actually make the team build to bounce really hot up but still actually come down and if the thing goes down as fast as it comes up and has any sort of suspension to the front I think if you timed it right as soon as the front tires touch the ground let the servo down and then back up right after that would give you that spring hop action at least that’s how we used to really hop in the old days you basically had to hit the dump valve as soon as the wheels touch the ground let the spring start to compress and then throw the pump in order to catch the rebound and the hydraulics would come up with force
I have been a rc guy for 30 years and I have owned a few lowriders so its a must that I have one of these lol even though it's NOWHERE WORTH THE MONEY!!!! I have seen a few vids where they had the same issue with the bumper being broke....I have never owned a red cat rc and this is the main reason lol its just "MY OPINION" I don't know how good their rc products are now but in the past they were never taken seriously when making a "Hobby grade" rc vehicle....and it looks like they still can't and don't lol they had these out over 10 years ago and I would've thought by now they would've made a way more durable lowrider rc if anything the thing should be made out of carbon fiber because of the abuse it takes from hopping!!!! That's alot of money for something that can be broken just getting out the box or already comes broken smh 😖 all in all I have to have one because I'm a lowrider 😁 great video by the way bud👍so far the best unveiling ✌sad to see yours came broken too....hope mines doesn't😑

I really like this but still on the fence as I personally think it's kinda expensive for what it is,especially if parts are falling off. You should do a review on the new HG P415 Hummer. That thing looks bad ass and detailed

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a Redcat gen7 and am having a hard time finding hex spacers for the tire rub I get. I would appreciate any suggestions. Ty.
This did exactly what I thought it would. Convince me even more that I really want one 😂 but also convince me it’s not worth that much. That’s bs, especially a year later now knowing it’s common issue that you can’t really drive it forwards or backwards that much. Like you can, but you have to be easy with it to not strip stuff I mean. I know it’s not a basher and I don’t mean it in that kind of way, but would be cool to at least drive it without worrying of stripping gears. That’s all what I’ve heard at least. Feel free to put more input or if it’s more worth it than I’m making it seem. Because by all means this is badass, but 600? My mst rmx RTR has so much effort put into the quality of a RTR, drift car too while at it. And that’s only a tad more than half of this lol
Really don't see how that is worth 600 garbage build quality broken out the box! I think it will sell but fall apart quickly and get left on the shelf, I'd wait for the revised version ;)
@@RCReviewChannel Yeh I really like that their trying something new in RC and I get that the real cars have a huge following but the price and quality just doesn't match, the price of a high end crawler but the build quality of a cheap AliExpress copy? So many companies are doing this at the moment because they know or think they can get away with it :(

Will look cool on the shelf and a bit of fun from time to time. But missed the mark on the important stuff. Breakage out of the box is damn disappointing for the price. Nicely packaged but they want $1000 for this in Australia. Ahhhhhhh nope.
Six hundred for the redcat makes the seven-fifty for the vanquish crawler look like a deal.I know a guy who just spent Ten grand for a 3wk vacation in french polynesia for him and his wife and when he returned all he had was a fading sunburn,priorities you spends your money you gets what you wants!
I like the scale look but can I fit 20s under it because those rims/tires are certainly a no go😐 Ok, I'm gonna be real here. It's $300 top as a rtr. But now a day almost all r/c are overpriced. If I want to waste $600+ I'll get a ProBoat ✔️😂
Agreed on the price being way too high for what it is. $300 tops for sure. Disagree on the rims, but I’m from the west coast and prefer the look of a smaller Dayton wire wheel or similar.
