Thank you so much for the input and advice. I did not catch it at the time of this video, but during a subsequent tuning session I did notice the dwell moving around when revving, as you stated. I switched out the distributor with one that I had on hand that had less play in the bearing. This did seem to remedy the dwell issue. Good eye :) I will have to give the pertronix a try in the future. Thanks! Thank you for watching!

Thank you for the comment! I did adjust the valves in a previous video. I was able to get rid of most of the noise but yes there is still some chatter. Not sure. I might have a lifter problem? I think I have the valves as adjusted as I am able to get them. Thanks for the input!

@@EndWrenchRookie Try topping off oil as well? I get lifter clatter when I get about a quart low 🤔

@@mtjosvold Thanks for the tip! I have definitely noticed that the clatter gets better with added oil. After it sits for a few weeks the lifters make a bunch more noise. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Hello! Thank you for the comment! Yes, I did convert to an electric fuel pump. I had enough of the mechanical pump game. I would much prefer to stay with stock, but just too many issues. I went with the Facet brand pump. It is very nice and strong. I had to put a regulator on it to keep it from blowing past the needle and seats in the carbs. It has been awesome not constantly leaking fuel or breaking down due to fuel pump problems. If I have one complaint, it is that the pump is very loud. Since you have to mount it just under your feet by the tank, you hear it quit loudly. It thumps like a hammer. Since I have two more corvairs to convert, I will likely try out a "vein" type pump next time. It works with a rotational impeller instead of a hammer so you will hear a humming instead of a thumping. My advice is just don't go cheap. I believe you get what you pay for with pumps. Also a good idea to keep a spare with you incase you have a failure. I am not a fuel pump scientist...but I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!!

I think you mean Pertronix Ignitor ignition, which is a good choice and improvement over points.
