Jan looks cool in his rugby shirt. In 2001 I saw him at LAX in a wheelchair in a near catatonic state. It was sad but at least he's not suffering anymore. The music will live forever.
I just mentioned I liked them & had seen a documentary on them & Dead Man's Curve. Jan was a super brite guy too. A shame. Dean continued singing & touring various groups.
@@jennifersman7990 I don't recall, possibly, they were aware of each other for certain. Bruce Johnson & Terry Melcher also released some surf type music. When Brian Wilson stopped touring with the Beachboys it was Bruce Johnson that filled in & still was last they performed. I don't like Bruce because I was so upset that my teenage crush Brian wasn't onstage when I saw them in concert about 1967. Silly girl!
I loved the 60s surfing songs! I surfed every day I could. I made my own surfboard and still have it today. My friend Bobby Farrell made surfboards and taught me how. I have one of his boards too.
@@jennifersman7990 Yes! You are correct! I've watched a RU-vid semi-documentary on both groups at different times & do vaguely recall 1 of them mentioning they'd done some work with the Beachboys, but don't recall the details. Bummer! Old age! 🙃
I saw these guys on tv... 1957s.they's was teenagers, those times, i born 1955s now one's its... still lived also i thoughts they's the beachs boy's, also they's was teenagers,
It's not, it was from one of the RARE color video tapes of the ''HULLABALOO'' SHOW that only a few still exists. The rest are on b&w kinescopes, because the erased them like fools.
Actually, the falsetto on this song was sung by P.F. Sloan and Dayton “Bones” Howe. Brian Wilson did sing on Surf City, though-doubling the lead with Jan.
