1964 quarters and 1965 quarters value! Valuable quarters to look for in circulation! 

JB, I've got to put full blame onto you for renewing my interest in coin collecting. I still have a collection from when I was young back in the early to mid 1960's. I was made aware of the mint's decision to start the removal of silver from our coinage starting in 1965, so I started setting aside all of the silver that I could. My grandmother was actually the one who got me started with coin collecting and with her considerable help my collection grew. My more than modest "hoard" sat on a shelf at her house for more than 50 years and now I have rediscovered the contents. I can remember that back in the early 60's, all denominations of US coins with dates going back to just after the turn of the 20th century could be found pretty easily in pocket change if you took the time to look. Back around 1962 I had a memorable trip to my Grandmother's bank where I was allowed to ask the bank teller for some silver dollars. When asked, the teller left the counter and then returned with a bag full. He told me to pick out the ones that I liked. When I looked, to my surprise, the bag contained mostly brilliant uncirculated 1878 Morgans along with some other Morgans with dates in the 1800's, in similar condition. A few Peace Dollars were also there, but it was mostly those beautiful Morgans. I grabbed several, actually all that I could, of which I fortunately still have. To me, as a kid, it was surreal that such vintage uncirculated coins were just a dollar for a dollar, but that's how it was back then. The banks didn't seem to give those coins much thought. JB, you're to be commended for your interesting videos because, as said, you've rekindled my interest in coins. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I was very fortunate to start collecting at one of the best times ever in our history, but to those who are gaining an interest, there's valuable coins still out there today, just keep a sharp eye. Even silver still shows up after all of these years. Videos here on RU-vid have a wealth of info, this is something that wasn't as easy to get just a few years ago. Take advantage of it.

I'm gonna have to dig on this one a bit more, I've found a 1964 D DDR RPM with a die crack from the left wing of the eagle about half way down, and it circles around over the Q, through the tip of the right side of the U, top of the A and finishes off through the middle of the R stopping at the T. Circulated, but very visible in all aspects. You guys are a wealth of knowledge, thank you so much!!! :)

I have a whole roll of pristine, frosted BU mint state never circulated 1965 business strike quarters. A few of them have these errors, thanks for your videos.

I have several 1965 quarters in fairly good condition. But one still has the luster on the finish. It would be great if it can grade an MS67

I have saved at least a dozen 1965 quarters over the past several years. I believe l have a couple that could be a MS 67 or 68 grade. We'll, at least in my opinion. The quarters have no wear, Nick's or scratches, and still have a luster to it. Thanks for another informative video.

Cool, I have just got a 1965 rotated reverse error quarter 180 Degree, in excellent condition. Also noticed that "A" letters police is different from other letters, who wanted to have this for a good price :)

I have a 1965 quarter that sounds like a silver coin but the edges are not silver and it only weighs 4.7 grams. Any thoughts on this weird coin thanks in advance

I also have the same! The edges have lost all of the ribbing but it too sounds like silver!

So my husband brings me his change and he always has quarters from the 1960's and I say how is it you get these great coins and I don't, I think it's funny since he has no clue about coins lol. Waiting for him to bring me 2019 Lowell West Point. So I keep coming back to this very informative video when I need a refresher so thanks for posting.

I got a bu roll of pre 64 quarters, and in that roll I found a 64 weirdly punched d Mark or possible rpm and also has ddr, grade of the coin has to possibly be ms62 or above. Think I should have it looked at closer and possibly graded?

One of those make an odd sound when ya drop it and seems to be more light in weight. I have A LOT of these, I am excited to go look threw them! I don't know much about all this stuff I just keep older coins that were made with something worth holding onto.

Thank you very much for this information J&B I have a number of 64 Philadelphia quarters and I would be willing to guess they would probably grade ms-65 ms66 and there's a die break on the left side rite down the wing of the eagle and I have one that has a die break and a small cud in George Washington's hair I'm going to have to look through them and probably have them graded because they're all gorgeous and I have 40 of them

I have a 1965 quarter with a beautiful shine, no scratches, and entire reed still in tact. I have pics if anyone is interested. This quarter is without a doubt a MS66 or 67.

Now actually when I saw this title I went through my change I actually have five 1965 quarters the only thing that sucks is a blind man trying to decipher all the particular errors that are on a coin I just usually sense by my touch that something's wrong even though I still have site I can still feel the mishap in mistake of the government in the people's gain

Hello I have a 1965 cuorter and a 1964 cuorter with 1964 no mint Mark.

Also, you show a 64 type c with no mint mark and reference it as a 64-d

My 1965 quarter has no mint and no pink at all and you can see where it's double stamped and some of the letters and around the nose and Chin area
