That's how I got to know Landcruiser. The first ones in South Africa 🇿🇦 used a 252 cu in 4.1l GM engine. In other markets, the OM314 Diesel engines from Unimog were used, alongside a variety of Mercedes-Benz Diesel engines. Not many folks seem to know this, but beware VW/Ford or Mazda/Isuzu.
Yea, especially since it has a clutch........ What you are looking at there is a shift on the column. Pretty rare these days, because anyone that had them, generally tore them out and put in a floor shift.
