Awesome video Kevin. We're two young guys trying to keep the muscle car passion alive on our channel and we're from Vancouver B.C. just like it says on this beautiful gt350r! Pretty cool didn't know Brown Bros Ford had this heritage
What a sick car. 65 gt350 is one of my favorite Stangs. I'm typically a Mopar guy when it comes to muscle cars but wouldn't kick any of them outta my garage
I'm surprised he didn't mention the gap at the roof line at the rear windshield. When racing this model, They found that air pressure would build up in the rear of the car, almost acting like a parachute, slowing it down. they put the gap there to allow air to flow out, to alleviate this problem.
... also the stripes are flaired ,wider at the center of the roof than the front of the hood and trunk , the visual railroad effect was eliminated ...! ... top A-arms were raised and set back for better control ... not to forget the export brace and Montecarlo bar ...!!!
A few faux pas in this vid. there were 36 r-models made. there were no R-coupes ever built. no plexiglass side windows (voice over) R- model had aluminum panels like on this car. also the originals r-models came with 15x7 magnesium wheels. good luck getting a set of those today!
I actually think it was 37 because on the national registry for the 50th Anniversary Ford made 37 GT350Rs for 2015, because they are a very heritage oriented company.
@@0453steve doesn’t matter to me because my 2018 5.0 would rip that car a new one. Plus I don’t care about collectibility because are car was meant to be driven.
