This is the 18th video on the 1965 VW Beetle. I had painted the outside of the fuel tank, but now I need to clean out the inside, use a rust eliminator, and then seal the inside of the fuel tank.
I used KBC Coatings Kit for 12 Gallon Tank

Nice job, any regrets with this product and process? Could you have used a smaller size can knowing the when you drained the product you had about 1/2 the can left?

No regrets - it seems to have worked well. I would suggest wearing rubber gloves the entire time - I got some of the stuff on my fingertips and it is like super glue with paint and silicone all mixed together. The tank is what, maybe 12 gal and I used the 12 gal version. I was worried that I wasn’t getting complete coverage inside as I turned the tank over and all around. But this stuff is like a one and done fixed cost to revamp the gas tank, so I considered it a sunk cost…
