1966 Dodge Charger Fastback 

I had a '66 Charger in the early '70s and LOVED that car. It was VERY dependable and looked great (especially after I fixed it up similar to this one but the color was B-5 Brite Blue Metallic). These came stock with 4 bucket seats (the rear 2 would fold down) and a console that went all the way to the back. The rear deck would also fold down into the trunk compartment very nicely for those occasional "dates" at the local Drive Inn Theater..... ;-)

That is one cool Charger. I like how they continued the pinstripes in the door jams and dropped the silver colour just below the belt line moulding. Very nice car. There are still a couple of this body style Charger being campaigned at our local drag strip.

I am a Mopar fan and have always had a soft spot for the 66/67 Chargers. They were cars that seem to have a lot of thought gone into them by the manufacturer. Mostly in the interior, love all that usable space. But that car right there would have to be one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL resto's I've ever seen. Korek Designs obviously grasp the concept that sometimes less is more!

Now this is a builder I'd spend my money with.

Great Job Scottie!!! I think my skipped a few beats when I seen this Mopar! I've always love classic '60s Mopars and no one really builds these '66 Charger Fastbacks and it's a shame because with a little planning and great designing you can make them all look as beautiful as this prime example! I love all the attention to details he did like the pinstriped door jambs, and the wiper motor and who wouldn't want a 6.1 Hemi lurking under the hood?!? Pure Awesomeness! Slick car!!! I love these fastback Chargers and this guy did a great job in the restoration, but I did get a good laugh when he had to slam the door to get it to shut, twice at 4:25.

I think it's because the back of the car is up on blocks. The doors don't shut right if the car isn't level.

Actually, those rims are copies of a recalled 69 Dodge rim. They were recalled why? Because they broke apart under hard use!

No sense in building a kick ass hot rod just to leave it parked in a garage to collect dust. Its not cool. Building a wicked kick ass hot rod and then cruising the strip in it. That's WAY COOL!!!
