The most beautiful TBird ever, especially in that color combination. I owned a '64 Tbird in 1966 and it was fast, comfortable and had all the new trick designs for the interior that was cooler than nearly every other car.
When I was 16 years old, I own one just like this, exterior color and all. The two exceptions are, my interior was matching dark blue and I had factory fender skirts. Otherwise this is mine. That Bad Boy would bury that funny looking speedometer redline passed 120mph anytime I wanted to. The 390 engine was a hoss and a half. Could cry while watching this video. At 17 years old, my parents let me trade it for a 1970 Barracuda. Wrecked it. 😭😭😭
Dad had one, red, black interior identical to this. Dad gave it to me in 1971, gorgeous gorgeous work of art. Would sit in driver's seat and just take in the awe of design and craftsmanship. I treated it like fine jewelry. Flow-through rear air vent made a 'sshhhh-thunk' when activated. Power vents soo cool. AC was frigid. Not terribly fast but it could move - you'd see the gas gauge move too, don't miss those years but gawd it was pretty.
Hopefully to have a chance to drive this weekend. My white 1966 Ford Thunderbird. I've been working all summer. Haven't had the chance to enjoy the car. But I own one.
I was about to buy one of these with a 428 in it as my first car that was not a hand me down in 1975 out of high school. The owner decided not to sell it. Ended up buying a 69 Ply, Road Runner.
wow, for me the most beautiful car ever, specially in this colour. it is a piece of art....compare this with the boring cars of today, which are all look the same, ugly and uniform. it is part of a bigger picture, that includes most of todays things you can buy. here in germany it would be difficult to find it, most likely also to find parts etc. lucky you! i love old classic cars, they have much! more! style!
All 1955-1965 T-Birds came with Fender skirts except the 1962-63 Sport Roadsters. In 1966 fender skirts were an option. If one ordered WITHOUT fender skirts they had rear wheel opening trim much like the wheel opening trim on the front fenders.
Beautiful. Remarkable condition especially the interior. My parents had a 64, blue interior otherwise exactly the same. With rear windows. They were great cars in their day. But not so much today. I really wanted to buy one a few years ago but they are no match for cars today except for that interior.
