1966 Pontiac 2+2 recovery. 1st move since 1988!

My dad, a few friends and I rescued this 421 Pontiac 2+2 from a shed. Found the protecto plate, and verified it is a numbers matching engine with some very unusual options. Fontaine blue, white bucket seats, factory air, no console and a column shifted automatic. Subscribe and watch us take this car from the shed, to the road and eventually to the car show!

Editing the next video now. Got it to run without the tick. Cold starts right up! Doing brakes and fuel system. Not going full blown restore, but going to make it a nice presentable driver and get it back on the road to enjoy!

When I was a young boy growing up this car was featured in Motor Trend magazine. It was a show stopper with incredible torque, power and beauty. The 421 engine is legendary. Keep it stock and bring her back, dreams are made of this

Just dragged a 63 Grand Prize out of the woods on this fellas property. All complete and numbers matching car. Stamp on the block was produced a day or two before the vin plate numbers. Pretty cool car always liked the looks. She's a bit rusty, but anything is repairable...if you have the patience and a few bucks..lol. I'm looking forward to fixing up the ole gal.

Yes but just for a few weeks! I kept the dirt on it so it will feel like a brand new car to me when I get to start on it. White GP gets back on the road first.

There was a cat named Lenny South Holland Illinois had a fenced-in lot of muscle cars. He had a couple of these on his lot 421 cars I always loved these 2 +2 Pontiacs

I remember that lot ,Lenny owned Trend Setter down the street,really a cool dude!he had a black 65 2 + 2 and a 65 Red 2 = 2 ,the red one,he also had a 66 2 + 2 down the street by his house!the black one i saw at a show in Glenwood shopping center restored by a father & son and they did a nice job on it,the father was a Pontiac mechanic !

Two Beautiful cars. I hope your plans are to restore them both. I had 6 full size Pontiacs. 1 Bonneville conv., 1 Bonneville Hearse/Ambulance, 1 Catalina 4dr sedan, 1 Catalina coupe, 1 2dr sedan and 1 StarChief Executive 4dr Hardtop . And they were all '66's. I'm very jealous. You're a good man for saving them. Thank you. And please, don't put 8 lugs on both ,unless they came that way. I know the G.P has them. Hubcaps look good to.
