1967 F100 Rebuild Part 2
• 1967 Ford F100 Rebuild...
This is the rebuild of my 1967 F100 that was given to me as a Christmas gift and my first car when I was 16 years old in 1983. I drove the truck until 1992 and then it sat in my Mom's driveway in West Texas sad and lonely for the next 20 years. In November of 2012 I went back to get it and after 16 months had it on the road again. This is the photo story of bringing it back to life.

I also have a 67 F100 it's a midnight blue color. But mine was handed down from me from my grandfather. It still cost a lot of money to get it running cause it was parked for 10 years. Nice truck as rebuild

@@Dieselfumes1982 Hi. It’s a long term project and I’ve advanced a lot since I started. Now she has power steering, disc brakes in front, brand new carburetor, lowered her a few inches, new tires and wheels and other few improvements. Still working on the electric system, the engine, interiors and lastly paint. When finished (or near there) I’ll make a video like yours. Thanks for asking!

Seems that coated Patina is the way to go now-a-days, and I am so glad! When I was a kid, a very long time ago, I felt that I was odd liking the Patina! I don't feel as 'odd' now, knowing that others can appreciate the beauty of it! Speaking for myself, it shows a lot more 'value' than a total 'showpiece'! Which I find them even more attractive, than! Beautiful girl you have there! I am extremely jealous! You lucky bastard, you! LOL!!!!!;-)~

Great Job! The dash came out sweet. I hope you enjoy the 67 for many years, I know I did. My Dad and I would look for the painted metal grills on the old Fords, and have them Crome plated. As you know Crome don't get you home, but it might get you a little, probably not, but you never know?

It was originally “pebble tan”. The one previous owner before me actually wreck the truck and it was resprayed over the old paint with a newer ford color. The pebble tan looks a little “pink” and looks a little feminine.

I have a '67 i am restoring what power steering pump did you use or where did you find it?? An what harness did you use for the lights?? The guy who had the truck before me has some weird wiring stuff going on that he did. Id rather run my own instead of tryna figure out what he's got going on. Any help would be hreatly appreciated.
@mrpeaster
@mrpeaster 7 лет назад
Andrew Brister - Sorry to take so long to respond! The running gear for the alternator, air conditioning, and power steering pump came off a 1990 Ford F-150 with a 5.8 liter. My harness is a refurbished original which took 2 harnesses to make. HOWEVER I did use a head light relay system that I bought from LMC (I think) so all that power wasn't running through the ignition switch. I will eventually replace all of this with a PAINLESS harness www.painlessperformance.com. They are the best out there. As I have always said "It doesn't matter if it is a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge, it's what the previous owner did that will cause most of your problems. If dude touched it, don't trust it."
