The summer I was 16 worked for a big farmer drove one of these 5020's 11 hours a day 7 days a week for 77 straight days. Started disking this large field took 1 hour to go 1 round. Finished 1st disking. Started the second they started planting beans right behind on 2nd disking. When got through 2nd disking started cultivating cultivated up till school started in fall. Made a whopping $2/ hour. $144 / week. And still had fun with friends after work. Thought I was the king of the mountain driving this big old workhorse. I will never forget the summer of 1971.
What a beautifully redone 5020! That sound brings back fond memories! I spent many hours in the seat of one just like it years ago. Regardless of hours in the seat, I was always sad to call it quitting time .... How I loved sitting there, listening to the engine under load! Thank you for sharing! What nostalgia!!
Real pretty. I remember when the 5020 was available when dealers had some and most said it's a monster. It was so big to me as a kid and just loved it. Thank's
Love the 5020, never had one with the straight pipe. I can imagine what it would sound like though. Weights on the front may not be time period correct, but it's a cool ride!
Simply Green ok thanks i have a 1967 5020 also & has a little m&w on it but was wanting to put a different charger on it because the m&w is about wore out
