prep and paint on the 1968 ford 2000 tractor build part 7 too much prep to paint, i did not film painting, but i used the same paint that is use in the other videos. Safety Blue, and au4001 TCP global hardner in in the paint.
I thought my Ford 1967 diesel 3000 was a worn out POS until I found your videos. Comparatively speaking mine is mint. Unfortunately some dick head that owned it before me lost the oil dip stick so they just found one that just fit the hole but was too long so the tractor has been running with half the oil it should have had in it for God only knows how long. It was serviced at my local Ford New Holland dealer twice but they didn’t catch it. I discovered the problem when I bought a new dip stick and put the required 8 quarts of oil in it. The #1 cylinder is in pretty bad shape and I am hoping that .040 over will clean it up so it will be ok. .040 is max so I will be at the limit for this block. I am pulling the engine right now and it should be going to the machine shop as soon as the pistons and rings arrive. Looks like it was bored .010 over before so I only have .030 to work with. Waiting for your #8 to see it run!
