1968 was the last year for 8 lugs. 68 was always my favorite Bonneville.

In 1968 the Brougham trim option was upgraded and made available for the first time on the 2 door hardtop and the convertible. The option first became available on Bonneville 4 door hardtops in 1964.

@Larry Hawkins Actually, the 2-door hardtop Brougham was added for 1966 (the original brochure confirms it)! But, you're right about the 4-door version! Did you know that while MANY people today are used to associating the Brougham name with the Cadillac Fleetwood, Pontiac was FIRST to use it (by that, I mean since World War II; before even Cadillac did; like you said, it was 1964 for Pontiac and the brochure confirms that too and, equivalently, 1965 for the Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special, which, for that first season, was a vinyl roof ONLY option on that car)?!

My ex brother in law used to buy a new Pontiac every year. They came up to visit on year and while my mom and sister went shopping, he asked if I wanted to go to the dealer with him and order a new '68. Of course being a car nut, I agreed and off we went. The owners demo was just as loaded and we sat down with the order sheet and he let me pick the options that I would put on it. The ONLY thing he wouldn't go for was the 428 HO. He had lost his license several times and didn't want the bigger engine, so we stuck to the 389. What a beautiful car, loaded to the gills and he just shook his head and let me check off all the boxes I could. My sister and he divorced later that year and she got a GTO in the settlement which she traded for a VW squareback. I didn't talk to her for 2 years. Those were the days of big boats.

The car itself has an incredable design. But for me, it's the white - with a white vinyl top with red interior - and the option of power windows AND power vents. Love Love Love. Needs some tender loving care now.

My family had a white 1968 Pontiac Executive two door hardtop then my younger brother bought it and keep it for 15 years.

It would have a much happier time in a place where it doesn't snow. Better in LA than Chicago!

I always wondered what happened to the guy who ran David Letterman's "Thrill Cam" after he went off the air. Now I know.

Can you imagine this car in 68’. I know the pecking order of GM but I think this car is just as nice as Buick or Oldsmobile. Remember I said just as nice. Buick/Olds had a few more luxury details than Pontiac but for me I take Oldsmobile over Buick then Pontiac. Unless we’re talking about the Grand Prix lol. Shoot I love them all.

Don't know how old you are, the car is 51 years old, looks pretty good at that age, just need some medium work and she will be ready to roam again, the only thing is we don't know how many miles she has.
