I've always said that a little rust is just a nice patina for old hotrods, but I think the Charger already has enough personality that that's not necessary any more... Keep up the great work Dylan!

Hello Dylan, I am glad to see a young man that's into the cars as you are and also serves our Lord. I tried making a comment on one of the other videos and somehow my lack of technological skills put me on another video before I could post it. Well anyway my posting concerns the one where your rocker arm shaft had broken. I've been a master technician for 22 years and hardly ever heard a 318 that makes any noise when properly assembled. They also last a long time due to the fact they have such a low compression ratio. I've got one I'm throwing together now and if I can figure out how I will throw you a video of it. Keep up the work and keep on loving those mopars

You are doing that without a rotisserie. Yikes. You must be committed to it! I did the same work on a 68 charger in the 90's and decided to make a rotisserie and it saved my back!

Dylan great video!!! In case you didn't know you can take your air chisel to peel back unwanted sheet metal from the frame rails. No need to waste time with drilling spot welds UNLESS you're saving both panels associated with the spot weld. In this case it's not, you're just removing crusty sheet metal from your frame rails. Just take your air chisel bit at a shallow angle between the frame rail and sheet metal. The vibration will pop the spot welds. No hammering with a cold chisel and no drilling spot welds. If you already know this please ignore. Keep up the great work!!! Love to meet you at one of the Mopar shows. Do you go to the Mopar Nationals? Carlisle?

Quick tip: if you drill at a slower rpm and use the drill with a stop and go technique you will not overheat the spot-weld cutter and you will see how fast the metal shreds start to fly. The point is to keep the bit cool for more efficiensy

I've done this job twice now, once on my 68, then a couple a years later on my 69charger, and both times it was not particularly a job I liked doing lol! But it was nice when it was finished, and I could actually put things in the trunk again👍🏻 including gas in the tank lol! great video keep em coming!!

Yeah I remember replacing the floor of my D100 ('78). I put goop around and riveted them in, but it worked pretty good. You can't tell it isn't welded with the carpet.
@MissionRestomod

It’s easier to grind the top of the spot weld out the use and air hammer with chisel on it underneath. Spot weld cutters are good for saving a panel you are removing but take forever. I also use a reciprocating saw and grinder with diamond blade to remove the bulk of the panels up to the flanges. Hope this helps next time.

I bought a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda in 1978 with 60,000 miles for $1,200 because the back quarter panels and back bumper were starting to rust. The newer cars rust slower, but cost a lot more to buy used, especially a Lexus with 100,000 miles.

Looking to replace my rockers on my car the sheet metal around the trim is completely gone, rotted away but as a semi retired vehicle to drive around on some trails and dirt roads that would be fun. And I bet it wont be as easy as it is to replace floorboards in a classic Charger.
