I thought you'd like a look at this 1969 Dodge Coronet Super Bee. It's packing a massive 472 Hemi under the hood that's backed by a four-speed manual trans. The car looks great all the way around. Hope you find it interesting, thanks for watching!

I’ve been around tons of 60s-early 70s muscle cars... and I always felt the ‘69 Super Bee was the neatest ‘toy’ Mopar put out... and I owned a Superbird back then!

Wow, imagine owning a Super Bird at some point in your life. You sir, are my hero! Very, very cool. Because I work for a living (not poor, not rich), the best I could hope for is taking a '70 Belvedere/Satellite and cloning it, but I can't imagine tearing up a Belvedere/Satellite... Sigh...

I have to come back and watch this every so often. Having owned a bunch of A bodies, and E bodies, I'm dieing to get into a killer B body like this for my next step back into owning a musclecar. Been outta the fun for a bunch of years now, and a 69 Bee, 4spd with a Hemi like this is exactly how I'd build one. With real Hemi cars costing what they do, this is the kinda car alotta folks could build or buy for much less. This would be the ultimate driver, racer, weekend quick trip machine. Awesome!

My current daily driver is a 68 Charger. If I ever get enough money up, my next old mopar will be a 68 or 69 Super Bee with nothing less than a 440 and desire a 4 speed , Awesome cars !

I keep having to come back and watch this, every so often. I've owned some muscle, previously. Mainly Mopar A n E bodies. But have always wanted a B body Mopar. This is probably my favorite B body, but love the others as well. This particular car, is done up 99.9% the way I'd love to build one. What a dream car right there. Thanks again, for your great clips, and showing us this car. Sure wish there was more coverage of it, available to watch/see. Stunning! Built for the kill, 1320' at a time.

Imho, the only factory car that could even hold it's own with this one is the 70 LS7 454 450hp Chevelle, AND this is no longer a 426, so all bets are off. Now I'm a Chevy man, owned and built a 69 RS/Z28, and also owned and built a big block 67 Chevelle, but back in the day I had a 63 Plymouth 426 Max Wedge so I'm familiar with Mopars and still love them, BUT, there's NOTHING like a big HEMI for massive jaw dropping power, no other engine compares, period!!

I knew a guy that had a super bee 440 auto. back in the 80's It was rough but ran good he said he'd sell it for 1500.00 I didn't have the money being I was 16-17 yrs old. A few years later I got to race it. We ended at the same intersection. Then the look and the engine revs . that was the que for wana race ? I revd back for challenge excepted. I was in a 78 dodge magnum 360 auto posi. I remember the intimidation of his loud power house against my little 360. Anyways we both burned rubber at the green light he was mostly even through the intersection then he got past me the next block. It took a ways for us to slow down then he turned off. I never saw that 69 super bee again.

Dodge's answer to the Roadrunner, Plymouth's B-body sensation, which debuted in the fall of '67, the Super Bee was nowhere near as popular. Plymouth never expected the Roadrunner to be a hit. Being a cheap, muscle car built on the Satellite/Belvedere chassis the Roadrunner made an instant splash. Dodge then scrambled and based the Super Bee on its B-body chassis , the Coronet/Charger, and debuted it in the spring of '68. The Super Bee is longer and a bit heavier and better appointed. That made it more expensive. It also came with the Charger's dash and Hurst shifter. So if asked which came first the answer is the Road runner. The Roadrunner is technically a stripped down Belvedere while the Super Bee is a souped up Coronet but both cars are their own product in the eyes of collectors.
