My first car was a 1969 Firebird, the exact same color with a black vinyl roof. Bought it in the early 80s in high school. Brings back memories as we drove them back then. It's one of my favorite cars still and always!
Pony car.....67 firebird 326/2 bbl. Muscle car 68 firebird 400 ram air II or 69 firebird ram air III or better yet ram air IV. Mine, my first car bought new. 74 455-sd trans am. No chicken in red. Ditched the 308 ring and pinion and put in 3.72. Ran like crazy.
@@musclecarcampy9922 we have a left mayor she forbids to drive with everything older than 6 years als 18 miles max and she wants everything electric 🥺😔🫣
I’ve got a 69, same exact color, 455 out of a 73 lemans. I absolutely LOVE my car. If gas were 10$ a gallon I’d drive it every day. I absolutely love hearing that 455 choppn behind me, there’s nothing not to like about my car. I wish I knew how to post a picture.
I have a 67 400 4sp, sporting the original lacquer Silver Glaze. It's an option delete car (no added options) with 16,243 original miles. I'm the second owner (22 years) and it's been garage kept since new. I have upgraded some needed items, like Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes and Edelbrock Proflo4 injection system but I kept the original parts including the exhaust system. You see VERY few 67, 68 or 69 Firebirds, even at large car shows. It is an attention getter on the street.
Nicely done Firebird. Mild but solid street cruiser. The 3:90 rear (same as my my 408 ci Nova) is a little tough on the Interstate with the Muncie. 4 spd but great around town.
@@musclecarcampy9922 I don't have a muscle car. I'd like to have this Firebird, but it costs over $80,000in Japan, so I can't afford it. I'd like to own one someday.
Hi I call the 69 a Second Gen because the 67 and 68 body panels don’t fit on a 69. The Camaro was the same way. Engines and Trannies are interchangeable I forget if the rears are. Too many cars to remember!! Both Firebird and Camaro’s for 69 are my favorites. One Year only!!! Great Videos Thank You 🙏
All 3 years were unique. The 67 had quarter vent windows and no marker lights on the quarters or wrap around lights on the front fender; the 68 and 69 did. They're all 3 first gen's, the underpinnings are the same with a few cosmetic changes.
Any states you recommend I should have a look into and research. I an Aussie so I don't want to have to deal with bad winters. I also love guns as well so I was looking at states like Texas and Tennessee@@musclecarcampy9922
