Genuine Q code 428 Mach 1, documented by the Marti Report. Restored very nicely from the ground up.
EXTERIOR: The body is laser straight, the gaps are precise. I don't see any problem areas. Repainted Silver Jade, it's a beautiful color. The metal flake is laid out nicely and it has a very glossy smooth finish. It has the painted black out hood treatment and the Mach 1 decal stripes. It's also decked out with spoilers, sport mirrors and hood pins. The bumpers and gas cap look new. The stainless trim looks original. The windshield was replaced. New Magnum 500 wheels, new reproduction Firestone Wide Oval tires that are actually radials that look like bias ply.
INTERIOR: It has the deluxe interior with high back seats, molded door panels and console. Down on the floor the carpet looks new and it has the sewn in red mats, it also has embroidered floormats. The seats have been reupholstered, the back seat is a sport fold down. The headliner and visors have been replaced and fit tight. It has a factory AM-FM stereo. New Shelby style steering wheel. Overall very nice condition.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It's a 428 motor with stock components. The motor is neatly painted Ford blue. Everything looks tidy and proper- choke tube is hooked up, it has the washer bottle, both horns, fan shroud, battery is bolted down. It features power steering. The engine bay is clean metal painted satin black. The last owner said it ran great. Took it on a trip, drove 75 mph for an hour with no issues. The only issue was all the attention this car gets. It
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks very clean and the trunk. Gray spatter compartment, gloss green under the trunk lid and jamb. Weatherstrip was replaced. It has the plaid original style mat and there is also a new embroidered carpet mat. It has a space saver tire for a spare.
UNDERSIDE: It looks very tidy under this car. The floors and frame rails are clean metal. They were prepped and neatly sprayed black, new grommets. The front end was completely rebuilt. Power steering control valve was replaced. The dual exhaust has cross over pipe and quad tips. It has disc brakes in front, lines and hoses were replaced and the e-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is clean, fuel pump and starter look new. It has the heavy duty C-6 automatic. The rear end has 3.50 gears.
This is a very desirable car. I have not bought many Mach 1s at all this year, especially not 428s. This one is clean and sharp looking!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

Amazing!! Reading through other comments, everyone talking about this amazing color!!! I quite agree. I'm not sure that I've seen a Mach 1 in this color. At any rate, the color could not be more well suited, and the interior brings the blacked-out features beautifully! This is one that someone will take pride in owning. Congrats on another amazing find, and many thanks for your unending work in bringing them to us!

When I was still in high school the local Mustang club had a get together in a parking lot. I got to see around thirty of these which were nearly new since it was 1971. If only I had recorded it.i consider myself very lucky to have grown up in these years and able to see all the Mustangs, Road Runners, Chevelles, etc when they were new.......The Mustang you’re showing is beautiful!

My first car purchased as a senior in High School in 1973 was a cherry used 1970 Mach 1 in lime green metallic with deluxe white comfort weave interior. I bought the car with money I had saved working before and after school since 13 years old.

Most '69,'70 Mach 1's were red with the 351 V8 like the one I had back in '71 .....I traded my Red '69 351 Mach 1 with a little over 6000 miles on it in '71 for a '67 Black/Black Buick GS 400 4spd ; 3:91 posi; Magnum wheels; factory air; factory Sun tach with close to 80K miles.....best most fun ride I ever owned...a friend who had been a Buick mechanic/high school auto shop teacher ok'd the trade, then put a tune on it that let me lay down rubber in 1st, 2nd, & bark em in 3rd.....my first street race was against a friends '69 Z28 several times & I always beat him by a car length... lol ...those were the days ...... wish I still had that Buick

I did some further research and learned that silver jade was actually the second most popular (to candy apple red) paint color on 1969 Mustangs with a little over 30,000 produced. Blown away by this as I have never seen a Mustang in this color prior to this video.

Tuff Mustang! Love the Silver Jade! My favorite car color of all time is Nightmist Blue, which was offered by Ford on the Mustang in '67, and I had on my coupe from that year. As for this car, the only thing I think you should replace before selling it is the rusty tailpipes. Everything else looks so pristine, but they jump out like a sore thumb. Other than that, great job! ps~I would also suggest you add a photo of the turn signal hood indicators, preferably illuminated at dawn or dusk lighting, to the collection of images. I had those on my '67, albeit farther down on the hood (which is even cooler), and it is one of the most unusual and badass features of these cars.

My only regret is that I didn't have a 2nd day to spend shopping for collectibles in your vendor buildings. I will do that eventually... I CANNOT STRESS enough to the readers of this comment to GO to the Volo Museum, as there is NOTHING like it. It is a MUST see when in Illinois or staying near Chicago.
