I had a 1968 R10 - my first car - and you left out a few interesting features: 1) You can slide the front seats all the way forward, and then recline the seat-backs all the way back and turn the interior into a big, flat mattress. 2) The gas tank is in the back, next to the engine so you have to open what looks like the trunk to put in gas. 3) As others have mentioned, if the battery is dead, you can start the car with a crank!
My father bought one of these in 70' for $1388. for us kids to use for school . As a 17 year old this was a peppy car with rear engine 1500cc and 4 speed
Always loved these cars. Just a really unique car. I like the minimalist interior door panels and inside door handle. This car has 4 wheel disc brakes?
what a quirky little car, my father own one of these. I was wondering if this one too has a hole in the center of the rear bumper, if it does from my understanding it is for a hand crank so if your battery is dead you can still start the car. I love these cars they are small but very roomy
I had a 1968 Renault 10 way back when. Yes, that hole was for a hand crank. If I remember right, the original lug wrench doubled as a crank to start the car. The car was reliable enough that I never really needed to use it for that purpose, but I started it that way several times just to show off.
